Nothin' hostile, just a protest thread for those of us who felt at home in the "Unchurched" forum.
It would seem the host(s) of this site are uncomfortable with us, and instead of engaging us or asking us outright to go to church or quit the forum, they've decided to re-arrange the "furniture" as it were, to leave us without seats.
Perhaps we could discuss this intelligently.

I know how you feel, currently I am not attending a church, I wish I was though. I think that if theres a church that you don't feel comfortable in... then you shouldn't go. if you don't feel comfortable then I don't think that you should go because really you aren't going to learn all that much. But yeah. I don't really know about this place feeling uncomfortable about it. I've only just joined here so yeah... but I'm all for backing you up on here.

CF don't mean "looking for a church", they mean "looking for an institution".
They are of the mentality that "true" accountability, fellowship and "trustworthiness" can only be found as we are sucked into an institution (double meaning!).
Those of us who choose to disciple and be discipled by the World, following Christ, are deemed unInstitutional and therfore unChurched and therefore unwelcome.
Glad I live in the UK. Nothing is quite as extreme as it is in the US (where CF seems to sprought from, if its theology is anything to go by).

hmm, what may I ask, happened that made you feel this way about churches? I find going to churches, helps me make choices on biblical matters, and i do enjoy spending time with others who feel the same way as me. I don't think it is a requirement for a christian to go to a church. I do think it a good Idea to be open to finding one,

I recomend, One Bread One Body, Saint Direah. You should call this Church, the Church, because so far in the Churches 3 year history, there has only been one priest accused of rape.

Go live with the poor, you'll find Jesus and Church right there. Or your money back!

Thats disappointing. I think some people find it hard to understand how anyone can be a Christian without going to a church. Having grown up on the Bible and God's word alone after finishing Sunday school, I never got the impression that it was so critical. I think we should try to find a good church that suits us if we can, but not everyone is the same. We all have different needs aswell as time and geographical constraints. The important thing is that we live through faith in Christ and reflect that in our daily lives.

you would probably love the truth G_d breathed through watchman nee in china. the last 13 years of his life were in solitary confinement in jail/prison for preaching the truth boldly. he was tortured often, never resisting(simply trusting and obeying G_d's Word), and the followers of Jesus in china are still non-militant and always under threat and practice of extreme persecution, imprisonment and death for Yahshua's Sake.
anyhow, he showed most clearly from Scripture how none of the denoms are able to accomplish G_d's Will - still, he did not say it was okay to start a new one, that would just be outside G_d's Plan also. he did not deny fellowship to anyone in Yahshua no matter what church they were in , simply pointed out from Scripture, always in agreement with Scripture, that being in a church didn't mean nor imply that a person was in Yahshua; and likewise, that anyone immersed in Yahshua was instantly in the Body of Yahshua by G_d's doing - a fellow member in His Body put there by G_d, not man, and in immediate fellowship with every member no matter their language or nation or ethnicity. G_d's doing is so different than man's.

I,m not familiar with his whole body of work, but I like what he said about nicolaitanes.
I've heard he was off on some other topics, but I can't remember what.

Looking For "THE" Church, not "A" church
Well, might I suggest taking a jaunt over to The Ancient Way (http://www.christianforums.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&daysprune=&f=145)?
The Eastern Orthodox Church has been holding true to the faith of the Holy Apostles for 2000 years, and if you give it a chance (as I did, one year ago) I think you might be surprised at just what you have been missing.
I'm not here to pick a fight or an argument, just doing my best to answer a question.;)
