What do you care about??

I was watching the movie ' Bruce almighty' and there was a secene were God ( Morgan freeman) was asking Bruce Nolan ( jim carrey) what he really cared about which Got me thinking that i need to pray for what i care about and not really sure what i do care about. There are a few things on my list but not a real load of stuff.
Anyways what do people really care about if they even know what they care about at all??????

How about hope? That is the main reason I attend my church. We talk about hope for people who are struggling.

Hmm.. are you asking us to tell you what YOU care about?

What about family? Living for God? Being a light to others? When you hear of someone having a hard time, pray about that. When you are going about your day and all of a sudden a person pops into your head for no reason at all, pray for them.

I have looked closely at the people around me, not just family menbers, friends and people I know well, but aquaintances, strangers. There are so many, many needs in this world and so many problems. If you just take the time to look, you will find so many things to pray about that you wont know where to start.

Then everyone has some sort of an issue, or a cause that means something to them. For me its children. I see it on the news all the time, some young boyfriend beats up his girlfriends baby and puts it in the hospital. Or a young mom neglects and beats a child. Broken arms, bruises, death. The fear that these kids go through, the horrors they see. Thats something that weighs on my heart. It disturbs me. What disturbs you?

Perhaps we should all make a list. (I am big on lists, LOL) A list of 2 things. All the things that are totally meaningless in our lives, and all the things that we find important.

Sometimes people tend to look around and see how other people have it better than them, have it more "together" than they do, etc. It is much better to look around and see those who have less than we do, for there are many. People who dont have the health that we have, nor the finances, people who dont have good relationships, who feel alone, people who stuggle with inner demons of addiction, people who dont know God.

There is MUCH to pray for, all you have to do is look around you.

Yes, I care about a lot of things.

My family, my fiancee, friends, my cat, and all the people that need Jesus' salvation grace and to know his love.

I care about seeing an end to this war.

I care about global warming issues.

I just care about a lot of things.

As I reflect on the things I care about I keep returning to the fact that as I love God all these things will take care of themselves.
