Thinking of Death
My aunt was sent to Hospice house yesterday. She is the last of 8 kids from my Mother side of the family. My father who is 78 is the last of 5 from his side of the family. I have my wedding pitcher on the wall from 1976, it has my family & my wife’s family, {our families have known each other before I was born. So we sort of grew up together) Anyway, There are few left in that old pitcher that are still alive, aunts, uncles, cousins, mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters. It makes one realize that we are here for such a short time. So how does one live his / her life? Something to think about here at the High Holy days.
Shalom {Peace}
