What can a user do if moderators/admins refuse to respond to private messages?

If we can't air our grievances in the open and the staff ignore them in private, what can a user do?

Go up the chain of command. :) Find out who the Senior Mod is, then Admin, then Senior Admin. Ultimately, it will end up with me.

Okay. Do you have an easily accessed table for that? If a user is being ignored by a mod, it's kind of hard to ask them who their manager is? It'd be like shopping at the Gap.

Rufus,

This page is a who's who of all the Mods:

Hope that helps.:)

Thanx Auntie.

What can a user do if he is being ignored by the head man?

On CF, do mods & admins forward private complaints to the rest of the staff or do they simply deal with it own their own?

If you are ignored by me, then you're in trouble. :) Private complaints may be handled by staff themselves, or shared with other staff. It depends on the situation.

Are you talking about being ignored after several back and forth PM's with a staff member on the same issue, or are you refering to something else?

Remember, staff members are not here for your disposal - they are here to maintain the forums. If I ignore your PM, it means I have answered your question in a previous PM. I get lots of emails and PMs daily, and cannot possibly address all of them.

I understand how you and the rest of the staff can be busy and miss pms. I also have been patient in the past and waited days and weeks for responses. However, I have asked questions of moderators before who don't even respond to the first PM on the message. It seems a little off to me.

And doesn't the fact that I still have questions that they haven't been answered?

I'm refering to having a discussion with staff members who simply quit responding with no resolution or even acknowledgment, even when we were one response away from a resolution.

Are your PMs respectful perhaps?
