I've been reading up on this a little, and it's quite interesting. A couple of short articles from the Bridges for Peace website:
Oldest Christian Church Discovered in Megiddo Prison (http://www.bridgesforpeace.com/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=2540)
More on Megiddo Prison Find (http://www.bridgesforpeace.com/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=2965)
Official website (http://armageddonchurch.com/) (though I must say it bugs me a little that it's being called the "Armageddon Church" in English)
A statement in the second article really stood out to me, and I'm sure it will to you all as well:
Site archaeologist Totam Tepper said they are now calling the third-century mosaic area (5 x 10 meters or 15 x 30 feet) a Christian “prayer hall” instead of a church, as there were no church buildings built until the fourth century.
As an aside, I've often thought it must be a little nerve-wracking to try and expand a building somewhere with as much history as Israel. Try to add on to your restaurant's wine cellar, find something really old, and suddenly Antiquities is all in your business. :D
