Have you ever helped a total stranger which opened a way for you to tell them of the Gospel?

Yes, it has happened to me too. I once witnessed to someone at a Jump5 concert without meaning too. Other times, online. I like, witness almost every day. It's FUN! :)

I don't really count online myself because online, no one really feels like a total stranger. I suppose it's because everyone has their anonyimity.
Though one time, my brother Brad gave me his new AIM name, it was 13rad.... last name, but I thought he had said it was just "13rad". So I sent him a big complicated IM which had something to do with Christianity (I can't remember what particular point of theology it was though).
He reponded "who are you?" "what the hell are you talking about" or something to that affect :) So I asked my brother what was going on (both of us in the same house with two separate computers) and he tells me I got the wrong name.
So then I'm trying to explain to this guy :D I was like, well, it's sort of a Jesus thing you know? :) He didn't take.
I've never gotten myself into the position to witness in person though. I'm a relatively new Christian and I just suppose I haven't gotten hardcore enough yet (not to mention pretty much everyone I spend any amount of time with is either family or another Christian already).

I actually was in a situation where I was able to talk to a total stranger about Jesus at work. I was working in a retail store, by myself on a very slow day. I thank God for opening this door of opportunity allowing me to spontaneously share my faith with someone. It was amazing... I'm telling you, I don't remember a time when my heart was beating faster and my adrenaline was pumping more!! It encouraged me and built my confidence. I can hardly wait for the next opportunity!

Really, any times a good time to witness the gospel to another.

Yes....I have had the honor of seeing a personal friend pray to receive Christ recently.
I had met this woman at the pool in my condo I live in. I would have never believed she was looking for God ...... she didn't seem like the "type" of person who was looking for Jesus. Gosh!!! Was I ever wrong!
A few weeks later I was taking a walk, saw her and she was looking dejected. She said that she had been looking for a church..I told her about the church we went to......it's a non-denom church. She went to that church the next day. Several weeks later she prayed to receive Jesus as her personal Savior!!!!
It has been such an honor to watch her language change.....see her studying the Bible....see her kids come to church and love it.
To God be the glory , honor and praise

I have a couple of times,
Once when I was on a summer mission with Teen Missions. That was so cool too. But the one that touches me more was when
a friend and I were just talking and she starting telling me stuff that was going on in her life. While she was talking I started to pray for her and that HE would give me encouraging words to say to her.
I started remembering verses that I had forgotten. I felt so in touch with God at that mom

hope, someone being deaned "a religious fanatic" only means that the person loves Yashua (Jesus) more then the other person who's labeling the person as such, so don't feel bad, take it as a compliment :) .

I had the opportunity to witness about the Lord at jail. I went to turn my daughter in as a run-away and while I waited to talk to an officer, two gentlemen were there waiting for the brother to be released. All things work together for good....

I have had many opportunities to witness to the lost. I would really consider it to be more of a duty when the opportunity arises. It's time to stop whatever you are doing and try to do God's will. It sometimes takes courage, but God will be with you.

I like to witness to people whether I know them or not. Sometimes it's easier when you don't know them because they can only give me their strange look once whereas people I do know will try to change the subject sometimes. I love it when their hearts are soft and the Holy Spirit does a work.

If the Lord puts some one in front of me and I am able to start talking with them I can sometimes feel that they are in need of something. I can especially feel this with women who have been abused or worse. I use this as a gift and usually end up giving them a CD that my wife has put out .

I have. The coolest experience I had with this was recently I took my 2 little ones to Bullwinkles for them to play and get some of their energy out ;). I took along my bible and was reading it, when one of the workers there asked me a about it. He came to me - not the other way around. That opened up a discussion between us. He was asking about the differences between Islam and Christianity, and we have an awesome theological discussion. It was very cool. I prayed throughout the entire thing, for me to have the right words to say to him, and they be not my own words, but the Spirits.

I think I should have voted, "no". I alway plan to tell total strangers the Gospel & God has blessed that desire He put in my heart to begin with. Opportunities abound, look around, nuthin' but heathens & pagans everywhere ya see, like an endless ocean of the lost, whee!
Usually people respond one of 2 ways, just like Acts 17:32 sez. Either they think I'm a nutball, (as if I care) or they want to hear more (i just betcha. they don't walk away in disgust, at any rate, tee hee).
But sometimes even the ones who think I'm a religious fanatic convert.
Face it, in this country opportunities to be persecuted for Christ are hard to come by, ya just gotta seek 'em out. Nothing like cold turkey evangelism for that!

I haven't done it on the spur of the moment. I wish that I would be able to have that chance tho. But I think that God will bring some stranger in my life, when He is ready for me to talk to someone about it; other than my family. :-)

I was telling a person about the Alpha Course, and since it is all about Jesus...it was pretty easy to slide right into. I told her that I was leading this cool Course ...and it was all about basic Christianity, you know, the "Jesus Loves Me This I Know"..stuff and more. It's pretty neat...and we eat this great dinner...and the desserts are great...and it gives you so much info about Jesus that we just don't think about...and then the 'slide-in' was pretty easy! It works so well!

I once had the opertunity to lead a group, and we had a major disucssion about God and the bible. It was one of the most amazing experiances because these were people only a few years younger than me!! The best feeling i get is when i am able to talk to someone about God. I love it when people come to me to talk!! I just love the experiance!! :D

Here in sunny England we have just had soul in the city in London. It was like a big youth conference in which about 800 London churches plus thousands of young people decending on London for a week to make a difference to the lives of people there. We were just all working for free and it was an amazing experience. We saw lots of people become christians and it was just awsome. All the churches were united we had so many denomonations represented. It was great to see God moving. and so yeh in answer to the question i did share my faith lots and lots of people became christians from the stuff we were doing- although I knew that i would be helping people i did not think that i would have so many opportunities- many of which seemed quite random, to share my faith.

I have worked retail for many years and sometimes wonder why I am still in such a tiring, low paying and thankless job at the age of 58.
Then the Lord puts someone in my path to whom I am able to reach out to and I KNOW why I am still in retail. He uses me where I am and not where I want to be.
The Holy Spirit tells me when I need to witness. I have yet to get into trouble for doing so. In the workplace, this type of "behavior" is often frowned on. That I have and continue to do so without getting into trouble shows me that I am being led by the Holy Spirit.
I still get tired sometimes and wish I was doing something else but find it easier to "hang in there" with the knowledge that I am doing His will.

Yes, he was into witchcraft. He was deep into the occult. I lead him to the lord. He accepted Christ as his Lord!

I have helped total strangers many times but never discussed my faith. I would find that very hard to do to a starnger. It's like the street preachers. Although I admire their courage and conviction I think someone has to be open to the need for God in the first place. I would imagine most people ignore street preachers as 'nutters'. I must admit I cringe sometimes!!!

Yes I have preached the Gospel to complete strangers,Sometimes without planning to.I go door to door and try to reach out to save as many people as possible.I think its every Christian's duty to preach the Gospel of christ. But I see Only mormons and J.W.'s preaching false doctrines to people who are looking for answers.God told all of us to go out and preach not once a year but every chance we get.We can't give in to fear For we are not of this world,we have nothing to fear because God is on our side. It's almost like what someone at church told me "If you have the Cure for cancer in your hands would you not speak up and give it to people who needed it or would you give into fear as people are dying."We as christians have found the key to eternal life which is through Jesus Christ should we not share it with everybody else.God Bless
Matthew 28:19-20"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
MARK 16:15"Then he told them go in to all the world and preach to all creation".
1 Corinthians 9:16"Yet when I preach the gospel, I cannot boast, for I am compelled to preach. Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel!

Yes, it happens when you least expect it, on the train, on an interstate bus or even in a shopping centre. It seems to me that, it does not happen when our faith is wrong or incomplete. Yet having said that it often does happen when we are not consciously prepared to pass on the Good News about the Gift of the Father, "John 3:16" and the obedience of God the Son to lay down His life that the Holy Spirit drives us to tell others so that they also may be reconciled with God.
