Genesis 3:15 ?

Does anyone know what that verse is in Hebrew?
Who is the one doing the crusing in that verse?
I always thought it was the seed, who is Christ.
But, my Jewish Bible uses the word "they" and a Catholic sister on this board insists that it is "she" and refers to Mary, not to Jesus.
Anyway, does anyone here know?

NIV Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head,
and you will strike “his” heel."


KJV Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise “his” heel.

Sages teach that the eternal war between man and the Evil inclination. The serpent seduces the Jew to trample the commandments of God. But the Jew can prevail by studying Torah.

I am convinced that the one doing the crusing in that verse is The Messiah Yeshua.
I reject the Idea that it is speaking of Mary, & not to Jesus. As the word “HIS” is used in the bruising of HIS heel.

I know catholic's see Mary at every opportunity, but like it has been pointed out, His heel is the one bruised.

By the Text in Hebrew it is vague. The word used is HU ( Hey Vav Aleph), and it can mean he, she, it, or they. In my Torah it says they , "They shall bruise your head and you shall brise their heel." This lends to the enmity between men and the serpents, indicating the struggle to be between man and Satan, an ongoing struggle rather than a final victory as seen in Christian theology.

Interesting. I have never heard of Mary in the use of this verse! How could one get it sooo wrong??

Then again, why am I so suprised?
