that thread got closed, i don't know why - didn't see that it said.
but to answer, if allowed, the 'apostate church' was anti-semitic AND anti-Christian from the early centuries! [and will continue to be according to Scripture]. True believers as well as jews, believers or not, were hunted out, imprisoned, and executed by governmnents and church officials and jewish officials(like 'saul',yes?)
since before 100a.d., through the 3rd and 4th centuries, through the middle ages, and currently, today, 090406, in over one-hundred countries. this should be headline news in united states cities, but it is not politically correct{or some other not-correctness} . see the voice of the martyrs website/newsletters/reports for status of persecution and execution for Yahshua's Sake in many many countries today.

Apostate takes on a different meaning than anti-Israel. Apostate means to leave the faith, which to me is abandoning the relationship with God. Anti-Israel is more like a loss of Christ-like characteristic, which has a love for the family of God and a desire to witness to the world including Israel. Having Christ-like attitude towards your fellow man means everyone is your neighbor, whom you pray for, lovingly witness to, and care for.
So in answer to your question, I believe that my answer to your question is NO.

I would agree, though I would point out that somewhere in the Bible, it talks about in the end times and the position that Israel will be in. Nations will attempt to declare war upon it.
I would try and stand with Israel if I were you or anyone else reading this.
Peace is good, but when terrorists are firing rockets into your cities, you can't just sit back and take it.

The division of sheep and goats in Matthew 25 is based on how they treated the jews
So, yeah, I think that fits the description of "apostate"

One question kind of related to this that I was curious about.
Is seeking a just peace in that region (with respect to say Lebanon, Hezbollah and Israel) equal "anti Israel"?
Anyway I'd be interested in your comments.

That Hugo Chavez guy made a comment about Israel this afternoon at the UN. He said that the United States kept any other coutries from interferreing with the attacks that Israel made against Lebannon, and that the U.S. allow Israel to destroy Lebannon, and then he started talking about something else.
Funny that he doesn't mention the months of bombings that Israel took from the north and the south and never retaliated and held its peace for many many months. He didn't mention that what triggered the retaliation was that Hezbollah kidnapped 2 idf soldiers that to this day have not been returned.
