I have a friend that has been a Christian all her life. She has been a missionary in Africa and is very grounded in her beliefs. About 6 years ago, she married a man that was a Christian and about 3 years ago he got into exploring Judaism and today he is basically what I would consider a Non-Trinitarian Messianic Jew.

As you can imagine, this has caused alot of strife in their marriage and she really feels like he cheated her out of the relationship she invisioned them having in worshipping God together. I had the opportunity to talk to her about the things that I have been learning and how a Torah observant life compliments the faith that I have always had, it is not at odds with it in any way, it makes it more true for me.

We talked about how wonderful it is to observe the Sabbath and how the Festivals are such a foreshadow of the Messiah and how the church lost something so meaningful and beautiful in not celebrating them.

Anyway she was very open about the Sabbath and told me that it is very important to her husband and he would really like her to observe it with him. I am giving her Restoration to read tomorrow:)

Wow, it was really cool for me to be able to share with her and for her to be open to it!! I am praying that her eyes and her heart will be open to the truth and to the beauty.

My first foray into sharing my new found beliefs - gulp- a little scary but it felt good! Praise Abba.http://www3.christianforums.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

 Praise G-d for your faithfulness and your open heart. I am sure your care and love and passion was one way G-d used you to reach her.

I am so proud of you!!! I am proud of anyone who is courageous and proclaims the Good News of the Kingdom to others. (and by Kingdom, I mean G-d's reign in this life through our obedience and love and faith).

I hope you maybe work with hr a bit through Restoration. What if she was to write down questions that it brings up and you two could discuss it? I don't know, but follow-up would be great.

Yes, I understand where you are coming from.

I've done alot of things in this short life that are exciting, extreme and 'note worthy', But there is nothing that can compare to the Joy, Buzz, excitment, passion and all other such descriptions, when I share the Gospel. Witnessing is the greatest thrill I have ever experianced.:preach:

Not many understand, but it is true.

regards Cookie, keep up the 'work',

Praise the Lord, may you witness the gemination of this seed, and the growth until fruitation, and may we all be given a testimony of this spiritual journey. We will just have to add her to the prayer list.

Yes thank you, please pray for her. She is a teacher and just started a new school year so it might be a little bit before I can get together with her again. I will keep you posted!

I talked to my friend today at church. She said that she is really enjoying Restoration and agrees with everything that she has read. I told her about my little Taslich service this morning and she said that she would love to do it with me next year!!

Please continue to pray:hug:
