So I'm a college student, and I'm on Facebook. (If you are on facebook as well send me a PM). He asked me to join a group he made and I was blown away by how awesome his description was. here it is. What do yall think?
PS- I read through it and didnt see any foul language, HOWEVER, if there is any please PM and I will edit it, or a Mod can for a time issue. Thanks.

- Jesus Christ died on a cross about 2,000 years ago to save us because He loves us enough to find value in us.
- People who say "Christianity is not a religion, it is a relationship" are ignorant. Jesus Christ is powerful enough to transcend the religion/relationship line. Christianity is both a religion and a relationship. That's what makes it beautiful...
- Life begins at conception, and abortion is wrong.
- Euthanasia is wrong.
- Suicide is wrong (assisted or not).
- Jesus was not a pacifist (Matthew 10:34).
- Laziness should never be rewarded, especially by the government.
- The "hey, let's go to church wearing shorts, an untucked Hawaiin shirt, and sandals, and see what I get out of the service that was made and organized to make me feel like a better person because church should be about me, and they should play the music I like and that does not bore me and preach a sermon that makes me feel good" mentality is retarded.
- Pants that sag to your thighs, hats with flat bills and dangling price tags to make it look like you stole it, 8-inch diamond dollar signs, tight pink polo shirts with popped collars, hair that covers one eye, "flavor-of-the-week" boyfriends/girlfriends, skirts that show more skin than panties do, and any/all other things that make you typical and mediocre and just like everyone else do not make you look cool. It makes you ordinary and fun to make fun of.
- Originality is essential.
- Those who don't read have no advantage over those who can't.
- The Bible is true from cover to cover.
- Superficiality and inauthenticity is wrong.
- Illegal immigration is wrong.
- There is such a thing as right and wrong.
- Absolutes exist.
- Who wants to be politically-correct when you could be right.
- The One True God died on the cross, not at McDonald's.
- The One True God is not dead anymore. Jesus Christ is alive. And well.
- "It Is Well" needs to stop being butchered by passionless, Christian "artists" that are not doing anybody any favors but are strictly in it for the fame of being "the cool acoustic Christian guys." Fame is not more important than Jesus.
- Mission trips are not vacations.
- Going on a mission trip to make yourself look like a better Christian is wrong.
- Sex was made for marriage.
- Marriage was made for one man and one woman for life (no exceptions).
- Art is crucial to human life.
- America should not have to ask permission to defend herself.
- It is odd that most people who are anti-war in Iraq are not anti-Revolutionary War...hmm...
- Being a fake, pious, arrogant, self-righteous Christian is wrong. In fact, you are a strong reason why people do not want to get saved.
- It is okay to admit that you do not have all the answers.
- Capitalism is better than Communism.

Some of those I don't really agree with, or are worded in a strange way, but besides that, it looks good.

Well I agree with the second point, but to call them ignorant. . .and the last. Saying one is better than the other isn't exactly rude, but there are people who would disagree with that.

Capitalism is better than Communism. Much Better.

And he is right, it is out of ignorance that they say that, its not saying they are morons without any hope of being smarter, just that they dont know better.

I agree with the capit. vs commun.
But still, isn't it rude to say they are "ignorant"?

Ignorant? No.

If he had said they were morons or stupid or idiots yes, but ignorance implies that they simply dont know better.

A reminder:

1.4 Congregational Areas

You may post in any of the Congregational Forums if you agree with the contents of the Nicene Creed and the Trinitarian nature of God, but you may not argue or debate with members of particular denominations and groups in their congregational areas unless you are a member of that particular denomination or group.

Non Baptists, please keep your posts to fellowship and not debating.
:) Thank you :)

I'm more than prepared, although as the OP i do retain the right to tell someone they cant post here correct? Im not ban happy, but if someone is just being ridiculous I dont have the patience, energy or desire to deal with it.

Besides, Controversial issues are more fun when openly debated.

As OP you can have the thread closed at your request. You cannot tell people if they can, or cannot post in any thread including the ones that you start. Any one, Chtistian or Non Christian, Baptist or non Baptist, can post in an open thread. All threads, including the open ones, are subject to all of CF rules.
Do you want me to open this?

My goodness--you call that retail?!? That's food service! I'd never work food service--I'm too afraid of what I might find in the kitchen--then I'd never be able to eat out again. Retail, however, I love. . .to an extent and degree. It has it's moments. I didn't know how I'd do working retail because I am usually very shy--but it's been going really well for the past two years.

Believe me, we hate it when people come in and mess stuff up--especially when we've just redone it for the 100th time! ;) Believe me, if someone sees you doing it, you'll be the talk of the store employees.

Still, dressing down and changing church for the unbeliever is SOOOO wrong. What ever happened to the sufficiency of scripture?

I guess it happened when people got under the impression that church was about the nonbeliever and making them feel comfortable.

I mean that makes sense, since it Must have been comfortable on the Cross for Jesus, so we should all be comfortable................

Wait a minute.

Yeah, it went out the door with preaching on REPENTANCE and SIN--because who would really want to come to Jesus after hearing some man PREACH about how evil they are?
