I thiought it was time to bring out today's special...
First the cafe has been redecorated for the season...
The table is has been set with the best dishes, a low floral arrangement, a tablecloth, and two candles and candlesticks.
A Haggadah at each setting (or every other setting.)
On the chairs a pillow or cushion for leaning.
On the table near Uncle Hiram is a small basin of water for the hand washing and a towel to dry the hands.
On the table within everyone's reach
Small bowls of salty water.
Wine goblet or glass.
Extra bitter herbs and charoset for a large family or gathering.
A plate of matzah.
A bottle of wine or grape juice (one bottle per every six to eight people).
So now are you ready...Acorn Squash With Apple Stuffing (Serves 4)
2 acorn squash (1 1/4 lb.)
2 Tbsp. melted margarine
salt
cinnamon
STUFFING:
1/4 cup raisins
1/4 cup sweet wine
3 medium apples
4 Tbsp. margarine
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
Halve the squashes and scoop out seeds and stringy interiors. Trim undersides so halves will sit flat. Brush cut surfaces with melted margarine and sprinkle with salt and cinnamon. Place in baking pan with cut sides down. Put 1/2 cup water in pan, or enough to just cover the bottom of pan. Bake squash 30 minutes in preheated 350~ oven.
While squash is baking, soak raisins in wine to plump. Chop apples to 1/2 inch cubes, peeled or unpeeled. In small frying pan melt margarine and add apples. Cook 3-5 minutes, until slightly wilted. Stir in sugar and lemon juice.
When squash has cooked 30 minutes, turn cut sides up. Drain raisins, add to apple mixture. Then fill squash cavities. Cover and bake 20-30 minutes more or until tender.Serve this with
Broccoli Knishes
1 cup mashed potatoes
1/3 cup matzah meal
2 tbsp. potato starch
1/2 small onion, finely chopped
2 egg whites or 1/4 cup Passover egg substitute
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1/4 tsp. salt
1 cup fresh or frozen broccoli, steamed and finely chopped
Cooking spray
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
In a bowl combine the potatoes, matzah meal, potato starch, onion, egg whites, pepper and salt and knead together. Divide the dough into 6 balls and flatten each. Divide the broccoli evenly onto each circle, fold over, and press edges to seal.
Generously coat a baking sheet with the cooking spray. Arrange the knishes in a single layer and place the baking sheet on the bottom rack of the oven. Bake for 15 minutes on each side. Serve hot. Serves 6.And this...
SWEET STYLE GEFILTE FISH
BROTH
Fish Bones from fish store
2-3 Carrots
2 celery ribs
2-3 small onions
2-3 teaspoons salt
1/3 cup sugar
GEFILTE FISH
1 pound dore, ground
1/2 pound whitefish, ground
1/2 pound pike, ground
2 eggs
l medium minced onion
l large minced carrot
l stalk minced celery
1/3 cup matzo meal, about
1 cup ice water, about
2 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 - 3/4 tsp. black pepper
1/2 - 3/4 cup sugar
BROTH:
Water to cover fish bones, plus about 1/3 cup sugar, 2-3 teaspoons salt, celery, carrots, and two to three small quartered onions
Mince fish (even though it is ground) with a hand mincer or in food processor to make fluffier, adding in about 1/4 cup ice water as you do this. Make sure fish is minced well, then proceed to mix in remaining ingredients as for making hamburgers, adding a bit more ice water in small amounts to fluff up fish if it looks too pasty. (Again, this can be done in a food processor or by using an old fashioned chopper (a double bladed thing with a wood handle - still avail. in kitchen stores, called a "hoch masser" in Yiddish - transliteral spelling).
If mixture is very loose, add more matzoh meal (but chilling will help). Chill, for easier handling, then shape into balls, using wet hands (re-dip as necessary) to form balls.
Bring broth to a boil, lower to simmer. Add fish balls and simmer coverer for 2 hours. Chill well.

Wow 1000+ awesome Dude!
Yum Passover We will have a huge house full and not sure but probably all on the floor. Our family tradition is to read the part about reclining at the table while lying down at a low table that is huge we only have out once a year. This year I may have to put big legs on it and eat in regular chairs.

speaking of reclining, here is how many pakistanis recline while they eat: yes that is seat cushions and pillows to recline on :) when we have guests (sometimess 15-20 in our small 700 square foot apartment) we set the room like this, though we do reserve the table for the elder people...

I like the reclining at the table. Maybe we can have both, but I think we will only have a u shaped table arangement to actually accomodate two to three other families. LOL that will only double our company... so let me count...14+5+4+2=25 and of those under 6 there will be 5. We should be able to fit everyone just fine. We made it through Hanukkah just fine with 32.
I'll have more help with food this time I think.

Here in fly-over country USA we don't always have good access to things. This year Safeway has done a very good job stocking the shelves  They recently put in for everyday stock a fair supply of kosher items. For Passover this year they even stocked kosher turkey. But my favorite is chocloate covered marshmallows (darn I didn't get there before the regular marshmallows were gone!)

Some good news, I gave a small donation of my money to my husband to give to the poor in Pakistan and he increased the amount x60 and it will be given to the earthquake victims amoung others who don't have enough to eat... also pray for the hearts and minds of pakistanis as manymany come from the lost tribes...you will find more magen davids in pakistan than israel ;) Lastly my husband just arrived to canada for a friends wedding so I am little sad about that :( and lastly lastly in recent months President Musharraf recognised Israel's right to exist :)
BTW, just a note on the earthquake victims, the earthquake occured in a region where it is mostly populated by lost tribe members of B'nai Yisrael.

pseudepigrapha
n : 52 texts written between 200 BC and AD 200 but ascribed to various prophets and kings in the Hebrew scriptures; many are apocalyptic in nature [syn: Pseudepigrapha]

Games... I' m all for games. What passover games can kids play to keep them quiet while we have a three hour meal?
3 kids were real wiggly.
Aviyah(15 months old) decided to eat off my plate. We were on the floor after all because my dear son found a way to make enough table space for twentyfour.
Aviyah stood at the table picking up turkey off my plate to stuff in her mouth and then when I was not looking began to stuff it in Gabriel's mouth.
LOL sharing food has become another fun game for her.
LOL everyone was laughing and I was clueless till they es'plained it to me.
Where is that clueless smiley anyway. The babies kept undoing the table settings and other helpful things... Urg. So I ended up getting so distracted I forgot a couple of things. A cloth to wrap te Afekomen in and the unity plate. LOL
Well maybe next year I'll hire the baby sitter, because none of mine showed up when I requested. We did have the candles lit on time. I really thought I'd loose my marbles though.

The feast of first fruits or First Fruits has to do with the first harvest of Barley I believe.
The day Yehoshuah rose from the dead was the day they were to harvest the first fruits.
I always found it ironic that people should use any other name for a day God appointed from the foundation of the world, other than the name God gave it.
Ishtar/Easter is from former idol worship and First Fruits is from God. So I choose to stick with God's idea personally.

ok, well most of us here would never bring the forbidden meats into our homes, but there is one unkosher animal that enteres our home without our permission, and that is the pesky bugs/insects!!! Consuming these is just as bad as consuming other unkosher animals, yet all of a sudden they are in my house...these tiny flying bugs 20-30 of them dead in our freezer I found, this only I noticed today...I know they were not there before because I had just cleaned the freezer the week before! They were in our ice and on top of the bags in which we keep our meat n all over the place, I am careful of vegetables and mostly don't buy vegetables which carry pests (such as lettuce) and when I do, I check carefully...wash our legumes, rice, and vegetables well...this is really causing me stress...I'm a clean person!!! what if they lay eggs? yuck I don't even want to think of it! Blah! those pesky bugs, I hate em... I cleaned the freezer, n our kitchen is clean but now I don't know what to do!

banannaYour crisis brings to mind the locust that cover Eygpt, so while you have a little to clean, think how horrible it was to shovel them out your front door. Sin is like that, if you are not too careful, they will come swarming into your life and cover everything. We need to remember to be extra virgil in our efforts to keep sin out of our lives.
Personally, I hope that is the last of the pesky critter you see. I hope that you get to the bottom of why they suddenly appeared, and get rid of it.

yes, I think you meant to quote me :) I agree with the analogy, sin can come flooding in our door if we're not careful...well now my meat container is covered with foil so they can't get in there, just have to check the ice machine these days, or perhaps go without ice...I just pray they don't reach the refrigerator, I will be helpless...I only see one flying around, I don't know there may be more...I tried to kill it many times, it's too small and fast grrr...I sprayed our front doorway and patio with bleachwater, I don't know that will help...

1 Cor 15:20
But in fact Messiah has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep.
Hebrews 6:13
Do not yield your members to sin as instruments of wickedness, but yield yourselves to God as men who have been brought from death to life, and your members to God as instruments of righteousness.
The imagery of this becomes vivid as we recognise Yeshua. The only way I can relate to this is the imagery of die to yourself. The concept is simple - the application takes effort. And he calls out "Follow me"....

Today's special
Orange Lamb Chops
Ingredients:
1/2 cup orange juice
1 tablespoon finely grated orange peel
1/2 teaspoon crushed dried thyme
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 lamb chops, 1/2-lb. to 3/4-lb. each
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
1 cup sliced trimmed mushrooms
1/2 cup white wine
How to Prepare:
Lamb chops take a Mediterranean twist in this recipe. marinated in a zesty orange, thyme and pepper mixture, these chops are savory but not overly rich. Try them with tender spring asparagus spears, roasted new potatoes and a crisp green salad.
Combine orange juice, orange peel, thyme and pepper in a small mixing bowl; mix well and reserve.
Place lamb chops in a 13x9x2-inch baking dish; spoon orange juice mixture over chops. Cover with plastic wrap; refrigerate for 3 hours.
Heat a large skillet on medium-high heat. Remove chops from marinating liquid; reserve liquid. Brown chops on both sides in hot skillet, about 5 minutes per side. Remove chops from skillet; set aside and keep warm.
Melt butter in skillet over medium heat. Sauté mushrooms until tender, 5 to 7 minutes. Stir in reserved marinade and white wine. Return chops to skillet; cover, reduce heat; simmer for 10 minutes. Uncover and simmer for 10 minutes more or until sauce is thickened.

In that camp for Christian Singles, we played a little drama named Ruth. I told them my case was a little like Ruth who was originally Moabite, just as Ruth said to Naomi that “your people shall be my people, and your God my God”.(Ruth1:16). We were educated in this drama.;)

A meeting with an Israelite in Tianjin China
One day in 2000 I had dinner in a restaurant opened for international (in Nankai University) in Tianjin China. I sat beside a middle age lady who looked like an occident people. When we talked with each other (in Chinese and English), I just knew she was from Israel and a believer of traditional Judaism. I told her I was a believer of Adonai Jesus and Jesus (Yeshua) was a very Jewish; I even told her (maybe) I have Jewish blood lineage (I mean I was also descendant of Abraham spiritually ) . She was surprised and said Christian could not understand the definition of Adonai clearly. She even told me she had ever visit Kaifeng China to look for Chinese Jew but in her sight there was no Jewish (believer of Judaism) in China. (It is said since a thousand years ago thousands of Jewish had immigrated to China but they have few Jewish characters now. And recent years a few of them immigrate to Israel . ) This meeting was also surprising to me.
And I still remember another Canadian Jewish Christian said in her preaching “ At the end time when all sufferings come, Christian should knock at the door of Jewish synagogue.” :groupray:

Here is something interesting...
The following is from the note accompanying a picture of a rock face in New Mexico:
"The Las Lunas Decalogue is an example of early Hebrew script resembling Phoenician writing(cir. 1000 BC) under Greek influence............it consists of nine lines, reading from right to left. It is a summary of the Ten Commandments from Exodus 20:2-17."
'I am Yahweh your God that brought you out of the lands of Egypt.'
1. You shall not have any other gods besides me.
2. You shall not make for yourself any graven image.
3. You shall not take the name of Yahweh in vain.
4. Remember the day of the Sabbath, to keep it holy.
5. Honor your father and your mother, so that your days may be
long on the land which Yahweh your God is giving to you.
6. You shall not murder.
7. You shall not commit adultery.
8. You shall not steal.
9. You shall not testify against your neighbor as a false witness.
10. You shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor anything of your
neighbor's.

counting the Omer... what is the tradition for this feast?bananna the counting is not the feast - the feast is the festival at the end of the counting.... the target of the counting..... Shavuot :) The remembrance of the giving of the Torah to Israel!
Traditionally it is a dairy feast, because the people, having received G-d's instructions including dietary, realized that there was no meat or meat utensil in the camp what were fit for use - so they are dairy until they could clean house and institute His instructions :)
It is also traditional to spend all of the festival (all 26 hours) in Torah study - no sleeping!!

People often ask me where my family is from, and when I tell them that I am 17th generation British, I am met with disbelieving and astonished looks. Most people assume that Anglo- Jewry is in the main no more than two or three generations long and has its origins in Eastern Europe.
The fact is my family has been in Britain for 350 years and unlike most of Anglo-Jewry today, we are Sephardim (Jews of Spanish and Portuguese ancestry). My ancestors were admitted to England shortly after the English Civil War when the Lord Protector Oliver Cromwell having won a raging battle against the Monarchists needed financiers to reinvigorate the war-torn English economy.
Rabbi Menassah Ben Israel of the Amsterdam community petitioned Cromwell to readmit Jews to a land which had not officially seen a Jew in over 360 years. Cromwell accepted the petition but not after a much heated exchange with those who sought to prevent Jews from being readmitted.
The first Jewish community in Britain for centuries consisted of no more than a handful of families who arrived from the thriving Sephardic Jewish community in Amsterdam to try their luck in London. After a few more years and the addition of new families, the first Synagogue was built, namely Bevis Marks, which still stands, although sadly under-used, in the City of London.
Britishness and being Jewish
My rich Sephardic-Anglo background, with its honorary titles and coats-of-arms, leaves me somewhat divided. While on the one hand I am proud of what British Jewry has achieved, on the other I am saddened by what being British has made the Jews.
"Britishness" is a hotly debated subject in those Isles today; many are asking what British means and how does one attain this appellation. As opposed to some other parts of the world, it is not done to apply an adjective to your nationality. You can not be "African-British" or "Asian-British." It is far more simple than that, you are either British or you are not.
Unlike most other minorities, Jews can hide all elements of their heritage and become "British". This has led to a quandary for many Jews, especially in this generation. Jews no longer want to be outsiders, and with help from a certain amount of antipathy, have morphed into the British cultural and social landscape with few, if any, discernable characteristics.
British Jews unlike their American counterparts have anglicized their names and their customs. My father and grand-father both felt it was necessary to change their name from the foreign sounding 'Pereira-Perez' to Perry as they went off to fight "Johnny-Foreigner" in the two world wars. Anglo-Jewry has literally had to take its kippah off its head, as Chief Rabbi Sacks suggested due to security concerns a few years ago.
Clash of civilizations?
I have my own personal opinions as to why British mistrust and suspicion of the Jews is so different and perhaps at a higher social level than most other forms of world-wide anti-Semitism. The British consider themselves the height of civilization, the founder of democracy and the force that brought culture to much of the world. However, there is one people that has lived with the British for many years which reminds them that their 'civilization' is relatively new.
A good example of this was a retort by Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli to an anti-Semitic remark aimed at him in the House of Commons, "When the right honorable gentlemen's ancestors were savages on an unknown Island, mine were priests in the Temple of Solomon," Disraeli responded.
The British, of which some tend to look down their noses at most other peoples and nations in the world, there is one amongst them who constantly remind them of their humble beginnings. I do believe that this rankles the British upper and literary social set, which finds its manifestations in the so-called "chattering classes." A few years ago Penelope Wyatt reported in the Spectator Magazine the remark of a peer in her upper-middle class social milieu, "Thank God, we can once again say what we want about the Jews."
While most in most western countries, anti-Semitism is usually the bastion of the underprivileged and those from the lower-socioeconomic classes, in Britain its strongest protagonists are to be found at the opposite end of the social spectrum.
As Anglo-Jewry celebrates 350 years since its re-admittance, I look back on my own familial Anglo-Jewish narrative with a mixture of pride, interest and a heavy dose of consternation. Anglo-Jewry faces an uncertain future as it struggles for its own self-identity. As for me, I have made my choice. At least from my side of the family there will not be an 18th generation British, as I have returned to Israel where my roots extend many times those of my sojourn in the British Isles.
This article can also be read at: http://www.aish.com/jewishissues/jewishsociety/Being_British_for_350_years.as (http://www.aish.com/jewishissues/jewishsociety/Being_British_for_350_years.asp)

Hello.
I've been assisting 2 messianic congregation for 4 months. I must say that I really REALLY enjoy worshiping with messianics because the songs are filled with joy and everyone is dancing worshiping Hashem^_^. One thing that really bothers me is that in my church, preachers usually discredit the Jews from back then and nowadays saying that jews are no longer part of God. And that also(SDA around the US claim) that the SDA church is the spiritual Israel. I clearly see in scripture that the Hashem married Israel in Mt. Sinai:sigh:.
Also, I must say that jews really know how to keep shabbat! Ex. Feasting together with my fellow brothers and sisters.
Well, I hope i havn't offended nobody.

That replacement attitutde and discrediting the Jews is changing. Heard a Union Conference President tell several thousand people las tsummer that "Jesus was a torah observant Jew." And there are messianic SDA congregations - enough of them the GC has a division just for them.
And I must say in my experience with SDA - they know how to throw awesome potlucks!! So I don't think messianics feast any more than the SDA do on Shabbat.

Chao.
are you kidden ...lets dance the horah:groupray::clap:

That replacement attitutde and discrediting the Jews is changing. Heard a Union Conference President tell several thousand people las tsummer that "Jesus was a torah observant Jew." And there are messianic SDA congregations - enough of them the GC has a division just for them
Nice. I did not know the president said that. Hopefully the discrediting of the jews change in my congregation because even not to long ago, I heard people discrediting jews.

A great big howdy to you
A really helpful way to look at corrections in the bible - reference is to human beings - what people do! If it is only about those people, back them, we don't learn. Am I just as capable of being unfaithful? OH NO, NOT ME :P Do I have the potential to be so sure I am right and Adonai have a different idea about that???...
Is it possible that to come to Him as a little child has something to do with being teachable?

I know some Gentile Christian like to keep Sabbath Day, but to myself I can not keep It strictly; for i am alone departly from Jewish community.we have no community here either - we have been keeping the Shabbat for nearly 17 years - and are going through a fiery trial right now - I am unable to find work that doesn't require work on Saturday, as yet..... our bills and housing are at their extremity - we also keep kosher and are only able to afford beans and rice - sticks to your ribs but gets depressingly boring after a month or two..... I feel like the kitty on the poster.....

Hi. My name is Daniel. I'm a newbie to CF and also a newbie to the Messianic faith. I was raised a Southern Baptist (I live in South Eastern Kentucky), but I never found satisfaction attending my Church. I started attending a non-denominational Church with my friend, and I found the establishment to be power-hungry, they went as far as saying their pastor had no right to make decisions...yikes...I had a devout love for Yeshua but I really felt like something was blocking my way to a satisfying relationship with him. I began looking for fulfillment and I prayed to Elohim for guidance and I discovered Messianic Judaism. This past month has been the best month of my life. I actually feel close to Yahweh, I love observing the Torah, and I love having the knowledge that I have finally found the Truth. I live in the so called 'bible belt' and I believe that I'm the only Messianic believer in my area. So I feel like I've got a ministry in my hometown...let's just pray I don't get stoned to death! lol. I really find great pleasure in observing the gift of the Sabbath, and I teach to my little brother on the Sabbath. I could really use some prayer! :prayer: Shalom Aleichem!

Besides it being a women's conference. What are the guys going to do?

I remember a Jewish Christian said that when all kinds of difficulties would come, “Christian” should knock at the door of Jewish Synagogue. Now I know a (traditional) Jewish Synagogue near my home.( www.chabadbeijing.com (http://www.chabadbeijing.com/)). I don’t want to preach Christianity to them; I just hope to know more about Messianic Judaism in a community. I have no an international passport(I was born in Beijing China and now live there); I am a patient of Depression and my social function is weak. But maybe before 2008 I will visit them.
This is my personal website: www.Yeshuafriends.piczo.com (http://www.yeshuafriends.piczo.com/), if the cross symbol in it reminds you great sins of Christianity and great tribulation of Jewish, tell me, I will delete it.

Personally, truely, I have no idea of how each individual Chabad emmisary controls his center. My local one is quite open to Jews with very different view points, coming to torah study etc. Personally, I think you will do ok, as long as you don't try to convert anyone.

Shalom AlanGurvey and Family,
Thanks for your admitting. In fact I can only be considered as a Messianic gentile in the rules of this Forum, although I have some Abrahamic blood lineage by flesh. I try to obey as more as Torah, but I can not completely obey Mitzvot 613. I have thought whether I should convert to traditional Judaism, that meant I should be circumcised and baptized in Jewish rite to proclaim that I would keep the whole Torah and become a Jewish formally . But I can not lie; all my life I will believe that Yeshua is the only begotten Son of Adonai and Messiah of Israel. Pardon me if it reminds you the great hurt to Jewish by Christian. I don’t want to preach Christianity to Jewish at all, that is one’s free choice. If traditional Judaism would like to have a closed friendship with Messianic Judaism, Abrahamic Faith and Christian Zionism , I appreciate it much.
I will contact Chabad Beijing soon to ask the Rabbi whether I can visit them.
Sincerely, Yusuph :)

1.No one can observe the 613 Mitzot without the Temple..
2. Obviously, you find yourself with Christian feelings, you are under no obligation to become a Jew, unless your heart tells you soo. I suggest you follow your heart and follow the path of christ  . That is my humble suggestion however, if it doesn't fly with you in the long run, disregard it.
As for if Messianic Judaism would like to have a closer relationship with Orthodox Judaism, that all depends on the aspects of the relationship.
Shalom to the people!

Shalomlom,
My name is Haya and I'm 17 years old messianic jewish girl from..Israel!!
So...how did I met the true Messiah? that's a good queation!!!
Well, my brother told me about Yeshua [Jesus Christ], of his love his way, his good things, the truth u know...and it wasn’t what in da school teach that, in da school the teachers tell another story, hate story...false story...sad story!.
I didn’t accept Yeshua into my heart....but my brother continued talking to me about Yeshua...one day I told him that: if it’s the truth- I wanna read the New Testament!"
After a week or something my brother gave me the New Testament, I read it… and thought that I believer. The truth is-I didn’t accept Yeshua really into my heart and didn’t have the Holy Spirit...but I saw a prayer in a website...popular prayer to accept Yeshua into your heart..
Well, after a year I saw in a messianic forum that I joined and wrote there that there’s a messianic conference by SOULED OUT from Chicago [by da way-they are good guys] well, I went there and accepted Yeshua into my heart, as a savoir, messiah, God, Son of God
I’m so happy that God gave me his mercy-Jesus Christ, and saved me!
This thing happened to me year and half ago [26/3/05] that’s great is in it?
I go to messianic congregation in my city, there is non-Jewish and Jewish too. God
You welcome to our congregation, there is English translation, and the one of the elders are American [the tows are from New Zealand and Russia].
Well, that’s my story really love to sing worship song to our awesome God for his glory
I like to listen to Hillsong [United ,Australlia ,London ,Kids],PlanteShakers, Hebrew worship songs....and there are more...but they are my fav
God bless ya ...and have a blessed day...in Yeshua's name, amen!!

Shalom to all!
I'm Aaron from the Boston area of the US. I'm the son of a Jewish mom (who accepted Yeshua at a young age when Messianic Jews were unknown) and a Gentile dad. I was raised Gentile because my mom was not religious by nature.
Both my parents lived at a time when the Jewish people were going through many changes. By the years they were born (1918dad and 1920mom), Jewish immigrants were becoming major contributors to American culture.
Towards the end of World War II, my dad was a soldier in the US Army and he saw the horrors of the Holocaust when he and other soldiers liberated a concentration camp in Germany. It was decades before he could feel comfortable talking about it. The memories of bodies in piles was too much for him to bear. I don't think he could have handled the images from Katrina were he still around.
Back to me. I'm 44, married and have a feline son named Tiger.
I'm currently look for work and welcome your prayers. We got a mortgage and bills to pay and are going crazy! LOL

Hey Everyone...
I have been told that I have to introduce myself... so HI!!
Matty (MattyJames) is my lil (big) brother and Tracey (TEA) is my mum.. both are regular posters here.
Look forward to some great discussions and hopefully helping with the "Iron sharpening Iron".
Great to be able to come and talk with each other on God's principles and share in understanding.. something that unfortunately is quite rare in the "real" world.
Shalom and see you round!
Sheree.
Hi Ree,

Enjoy yourself.

Hey Tag... I love you
While it is true that all our convesing has been on the forum, I truly have enjoyed your company and comments.
Talk about the spiritual battle reminded me of some of my own as of late. I have been planning to go visit my daughter, who is not saved, who is tormented by devils. I have not been a spiritual strong person on this issue, though it has been on my heart. My girlfriend gave me a book to read call "set the captives free" which while good for the casting out of demons was not all there for the right answers in teh spiritual walk afterwards. I just chalked it up to the author's experience in her walk with Christ and appreciated the insight she did write on the subject. Anyway, the other night I have this dream where it was a serious situation involving my daughter and I had to cast out the demon, but when I went to do so, I felt as if there was a multitude of hands covering my mouth so that I could only mumble, but I remained firm in my dream and said " Beeee gon' satttan yin Yeshhhhua's name" where upon I woke up to the last note of my voice. I believe the Lord has opened up my ability to command the evil spirits to leave. Amen
Pray for me and my daughter, for she is terribly torn up spiritually and struggles horrible to keep a level head.

I do believe I have a choice Debi.
What choice will you or have you made with regard to this? I don't mean to sound stupid, and I identify with the struggle don't misunderstand me. It matters none at all that my struggles may be different than yours and your struggles may be different than mine - the upshot is we all struggle (if say we don't, we are not being honest or we are unaware of what we should be doing :) geez, I am not sure which is worse...)

Life is short. And I don't feel I want to be around too much longer. I reckon or rather am assuming I can't post in the prayer thread here so here it is. This is my last post period. No ifs ands or buts.

Thanks for the coffee waiter. Shamash Of Yeshua You speak some profound truths here. But I believe you have forgotten who you are in Yeshua. We are more than conquers, Grater is he who is in me [& you] than he who is in this world. Get up put on his armor pick up his sword, prepare for battle. Speak to that witch comes agents you, rebuke it, take command in Yeshua. You are a great man of God, NOT a defeated weak wimp. GRATER is he who is in you! You CAN do all things through Messiah who is in you. Stop looking at what your not and look at who you are and can be through Yeshua.
Because we do not wrestle{War) against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against authorities, against the world-rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual matters of wickedness in the heavenlies.
Thanks for your time Shamash. But I have got to go. The coffee here is cold.

I know that some may have forgotten the purpose of this thread since it has been split and doesn't contain on the first post the opening post from it so I will re-post it.
Come on in, grab a chair, Uncle Hiram will bring you a cup of java and a hot bagel - you are welcome here!!
This is a place of fellowship and sharing. Discussions from the silly to the sublime are the House Speciality! Enjoy yourself, have a helping of fun with your fellowship!
From time to time the need for prayer will arise as it does as people get to know each other. As prayer deserves a more focused atmosphere we have a separate prayer thread. Our Prayer Room is a sticky as well. It is called HaKotel - A place at the Wall of Prayer.
So , welcome, welcome, oh see!! Here comes your hot bagel now!! Sit, enjoy!
As you can see, this thread is a fellowship thread not one for deep philosophical discussions or heavy theological. Just something you might share over a cup of coffee at Starbucks or a Borders cafe, or even lighter at a noisy NY deli. So let's please remember that as we post. Order your choice of beverage and grab a biscotti, or knish and say Shalom!

Is this the place for some indepth discussion about great kosher food? Is a pickle and peanut butter sandwich kosher? I have noooo idea.....

I think this is just a fellowship thread so I can't tell you that pickles is perfectly kosher to me if the pickles are Kosher... I mean really Kosher and the peanutbutter is really Kosher... no non Kosher aditives. And will you be having Sardines and horshradish on that? That's the way my daddy taught me to eat them. I think he was raised on canned foods.
