Well I finally met up with the CO of our church for a chat at her home. It was great to introduce myself and have time to talk about our lives and such. I was able to explain to her how I feel about becoming a Soldier. She is very excited for me. She explained that I am coming to them at a good time because things start up in September. She said I would need to become an adherant first though. I was kinda dissapointed in that but if that is the step I need to take then that's what will happen. She explained to me that I can have my daughter dedicated even though she is 3 years old. I am very happy that we spoke, she is a wonderful person.

Good for you for talking to your CO. Becoming an adherent first is the right way to go. I became a soldier at 16 after being a junior soldier ever since I was 7, and I felt that I was too young. Sadly, I'm not in the army anymore. At least this way, you get a 'taste' of what things are like.

Hmm never heard of that but I wish that is what my son had done. My daughter is an adherent.
