I wish I had good news, but Barb's back pain has now spread into her rt. shoulder. I'm afraid it is that old devil again, arthritis (or r.a.?) They once told us she didn't have r.a., but sometimes I wonder. I had to get her two Tylenol just now. I'm going to call the back doctor's office and tell them if they have a cancellation that would get her in sooner, to let us know. She may wind up having to see the new r.a. Dr. that just came here, but I pray to God not!
I am pretty scared because the memories of horrible times she went through are coming back. All those trips to the e.r. mostly in the wee hours due to her severe pain. They never could do anything for her but tell her to take a pain pill.
I don't know what happened in the physical realm,to get her into a two year remission, but it came after her two week stay in the hospital in Aug. of '04. We know God took this off her for a while, but physically, we don't know what did it. She was in bad shape and depleted of protein, when she was hospitalized. I thought getting the protein level up had helped chase the pain away, but now, I guess I was wrong. We are so thankful for the two years of freedom she had from this, but I'm scared now, the good times are ending. I am thankful she now has Medicare. That will help there at least.
Thanks for reading and your prayers-
Tony
