Does anyone know of somewhere I could find some rather inexpensive orthodox cross necklaces that would be suitable for little boys?

In expensive and pretty..
This (http://www.gallerybyzantium.com/store/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=byzg&Product_Code=3314-E) is the one I wear - not too terribly expensive. There is a non enameled one here (http://www.gallerybyzantium.com/store/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=byzg&Product_Code=3314) that is slightly less expensive.
All of these (http://www.gallerybyzantium.com/gift55.html) are under $55 (Some well under...)

Thanks. It looks like I may end up getting one of those as they are the most inexpensive that I have come across.
I was looking for something cheap because they will probably lose them. I wanted to get them used to wearing crosses before I even think about getting nicer ones for a baptism. (That may take a while though at the rate my inquiry is going. :sorry: )
I found some really, really cheap gold plated and enamel ones, but they are at Monastary Icons. I think I read somewhere here that they aren't a good place to support.
Someone in chat reccomended wooden ones, but I have been unable to find any of those either.

We buy the tiny ones (about 3/4 inch) for $3 or $4. My wife takes a couple of colored strings and twists them together (fingers twirl the string in opposite directions). Much cheaper than $50; of course the little crosses might cost a little more there, but unless they're made of gold, they shouldn't cost $50.
If the necklace is just barely big enough to be removed, they shouldn't easily lose them.

Ah yes... Now I see.. That does make sense. I would not want to lose any of those I first listed either as I consider them to be quite nice even if they are inexpensive....
Check this out. (http://www.jerusalem-gifts.com/index.html?target=Holy_Land_JewelryOlive_Wood_Jewelry.html)
If you scroll down they have packs of 25 olive wood crosses for $20

For anyone else who may be looking, I also found some inexpensive ones at:
http://www.easternchristiansupply.biz/products.cgi/c48/c19345/p3
and for a little bit more, they have these:

I'm not sure what kind I will get. I don't have the cash this week... and that is just as well. My oldest is in a mood and wouldn't even look at them. (He wanted one last week. )
At least now I have tons of options.

Remember that kids can get chains or drawstrings caught on things like playground equipment and can choke to death, so you want a chain or string that WILL break under the strain of the weight of your child's body.
Many places have little cheap metal crosses for less than $3. I know the nuns at Holy Tranfiguration have some VERY nice looking ones for $1.50. I'll see if I can find a picture of something that looks similar. They could be mailed to you if you liked them.

Charitina,
One of my best friends in town has that exact same cross. I found it for her (at another site) when she lost hers. It is even prettier in person!

Yeah, when I saw a $50 price tag for a kid's cross it tripped me out.
Again, the twisted strings "chain" that everybody does here is strong enough to hold under all normal stresses (like pulling) but will break under any serious force. There are tons of little kids with crosses around here and that's what most parents put on them.
