Siberia Church to Commemorate Aborted Children


IURGA, Russia, AUG. 22, 2006 An Orthodox church is being built in Iurga, in southern Siberia, to celebrate Divine Liturgies regularly for aborted children.

According to Father Konstantin, the church will be consecrated next summer with relics from the Holy Innocents transferred from Jerusalem.

Charitina, I posted the link to the article Aria quoted from. Or are you talking about a website to find out where the village is? I googled it, and didn't find anything, except a hint that it might be in the vicinity of the Urals, which is the far western part of Siberia; that could explain why I've never heard of it - I've never been in that region.......
