ok... actually it's going to be in Ypsilanti, but since no one would know where Ypsilanti is located (it's a suburb of Detroit), I just said Detroit.

Anyway, I've been asked to come up to help train prayer teams and lead a healing service this coming Friday night. I'm flying up Thursday to work with the prayer teams Thursday night, then will be helping to lead the service for Friday night. We're expecting between 600 and 700 people Friday night.

Please keep us in your prayers as we are expecting God to do some great things.

Thanks for keeping us informed. May God's blessing be upon the preparation and the event itself; may the healing power of our Risen Lord be with you and all who come to the service. :prayer:

May prayers are with you, Father Rick.

"Are any among you sick? They should call for the elders of the church and have them pray over them, anointing them with oil in the name of the Lord. The prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise them up; and anyone who has committed sins will be forgiven."

Ok guys, I'm back in town (and have gotten a little rest)...

So much happened, I'm not sure even where to start.

Thursday night was the training session for us to train prayer teams from the church. We went through basic procedures/protocol to follow, such as Ask the person what they would like prayer for; Be gentle when laying hands on the person, Take turns praying, etc. As we reached the end of the training, I had been told that there were several of the 50 or so people there that needed healing and would like prayer that night since they would be praying for others the next night. All I can say is that it started getting wild at that point.

One woman who had severe arthritis in her hands to the point that the bones in her thumbs were seperating from each other was instantly healed. She had been unable to even lift a dish out of her cupboard for over 5 months. Now there was no pain whatsover and she was able to move her hands freely. The next night, she was one of our greeters at the front door shaking hands with everyone who entered.

A man who had injuries to his back and legs was instantly healed. A woman who had bandages from her ankle to her hip was prayed for and the next night was back with no bandages at all. She had awaken the next morning totally healed. And these are just some of the ones I know about. Since we had 4 teams from the church leadership doing the praying, I'm not sure what all happened with the other groups.

The most amazing to me, however, was a little boy about 4 or 5 years old with autism that was brought for prayer by his parents. His father was holding the boy in his arms while the mother stood there with them. As we prayed for the boy, the mother began to cry. The boy looked up at his mother and, with perfect clarity, asked "Mommy, why are you crying?" This was the first time the boy had spoken a complete sentence in his life. Previously the most he had been able to speak was a single word at a time.

Did I mention that all this was just in the training session?

The "real" healing service on Friday night was absolutely incredible. Service started at 7pm and finished sometime after 2:30am. I honestly can't give you a lot of testimonies of healing from that service yet, simply because I haven't gotten a chance to find out what all happened. Since we had several prayer teams scattered all around the church praying for people, it will probably take a few days to hear back all the testimonies. We prayed for a lady who was legally blind who said her vision improved, but she hasn't had a chance to get it tested to confirm. We prayed for a woman who had fallen and injured her neck who was healed.

I do know that during the service at least 3 people came to Christ-- we actually baptized 4 people that night (right in the middle of a healing service), but one of them may have already been a Christian who hadn't had a chance to be baptized yet, I'm not sure.

Needless to say, God was good! Thanks for all your prayers guys!
