Hey all! I know I've been pretty non-existant lately, but there's been a good reason. Two, actually. First, the sad news:

My mother passed away recently (July 21).

The good news:

I got married August 12!

It's been a hectic time for me as you all can imagine. Hopefully I'll be able to get back more frequently now though.

Angelus,

I am sorry to hear of your mother's passing. I lost my father 17+ years ago. Congrats on your marriage though. God's blessings to both of you.

I'm sure that there were mixed emotions at the wedding. God be with you.

May you be assured of the hope of life eternal by the death and resurrection of our Lord.

Thanks for your comments everyone. Surprisingly to me, there were no mixed emotions at the wedding. I felt, in a very real way, that my mother was there. We had her picture there where she would have been sitting, so I could see her in some sense, but I felt her there too, and that allowed for just utter enjoyment and happiness.

That's beautiful.
I am sure that she was there, joyful, and praying for your and your wife.

I'm very sorry about your mother AS. I'm sure that must have been a difficult time for you. My grandmother died a week before my cousin's wedding two years ago I believe. My cousin wanted to pospone the wedding even. But things turned out good. And I'm glad things worked out for you as well. :)

Congraduations on your marraige! :)
