Hi, I hope you don't mind my friendly lurking and possible posting. When i first joined CF I wondered how Quakers/Mennonites could be clumped together with Baptists. I'm glad to see you got your own forum.
I am Episcopal now and have been for years but I was raised Baptist and Grace Bretheren. I have a number of dear friends who are Quaker and Mennonite. We lived in Latin America for a number of years (with Food for the Hungry and Catholic Relief Services) and then moved to Canada when my husband worked for Mennonite Economic Development Associates. He still helps fund a number of thier projects in his present job.
Social justice/economic development/peace issues are close to our hearts and don't seem to get much air time on other forums. As I've glaced through the threads, it's been good to see the issues begin to be raised here.
God bless!
