View Full Version : On the Move

I recently turned in my resognation at my current job. There were several reasons for this including Sunday work, too far from daughter, working outside comfort zone, etc...
I will be relocating to Delaware to be closer to my daughter who is only with me part time. She is going to be able to spend half the month with me instead of every other weekend. I am so excited about spending more time with her during the school year. Also, I may have the opportunity to place my son in a Mennonite school in the area. He has been home schooled since the 4th grade, but it is becoming difficult to keep it up since his mother died. I think he will benefit greatly from a more traditional school enviornment.
Please pray for my family as we make this move. There are many details that have to be worked out. Mainly, I am looking for the Lord's direction in work and housing. I have applied for several jobs, one of which replied the next day and arranged an interview for next Thursday. This is a job with excellent potential in the field that I have the most experience.

I'm excited for you that you are wanting to move closer to your daughter and to a more favorable situation for your son. I am always delighted when dads move to be with their children, and for you it sounds like it's going to be a wonderful thing because you will get your daughter's company so much more!
One of the men I admire most in the whole world quit his job and moved 200 miles to be in the same city as his children, their mother and their new stepfather. He bought a house two blocks from their house so his children could come over any time they wanted. That man is my hero, because he rose above whatever caused the divorce and did what was best for the children.
I admire what a good father you are being to both your children and I will pray for the Lord to reveal his best will for job and housing.
