Airline terror plot 'close to execution'

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Terrorists were in the final stages of planning to blow up planes heading to the United States from Britain, U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff said Thursday.

I've been closely monitoring this all day.

I'm scheduled to fly on September 11th/12th and September 25th.

There is a lot going on that isn't making the MSM. This is a plot that has been thwarted, but I do not believe completely averted. They're holding 20 something people in custody and the US are sending air marshalls to help out on flights from the UK to the USA and "special missions" per Michael Chertoff and Alberto Gonzales this morning.

There's tons to be had out there in the news if you know where to look..

There are beginning to be a lot more restrictions than before (no liquids, gels, soaps or drinks as carry-ons - except for infants or medicine).. and people are expected to taste-test.

There are more and more security tests...

things have changed so much in one day that the airliners are having a hard time making compliance.

It's amazing after 9/11/01 that we've seemingly forgotten about airline travel threats...

I'm not sure exactly how this will be handled once I fly, but I do know things will be difficult with my new-found disease (the wheat, rye, barley & oat intolerence).. and I will have to ensure I fly the skies that offer the items I can eat so I can minimize carry ons or eliminate it altogether.

All I can say is pray.

What bothers me is that people over in the other current events forums here at CF still want to blame Israel for everything. This new incident proves it's not just about Israel, Jews and the Middle East. It's about what we believe and how we live in free countries.

It's much much more and these Muslims want us dead.

This is a war of religion and between vastly different civilizations. We need to takes sides, and those of us here know which side to take. We need to pray and if necessary fight these scum.

It's well known that many of those from the Edomites tribe make up many of these Muslim peoples today.


So, for their sake, and for the commandment, I am gald they were caught - also, for the sake of the American people!

Maybe these Muslims - and isn't it funny that it's always young, 20ish people that get drafted for this particular terrorist work? What, don't the older Muslim terrorists want to get their hands on those 70 virgins?
