Ok, What do you all say we make the best of this situation, bad or good however you view it, and start anew? We have a new forum a great place to grow and it isn't like we cant use it or find fellowship here. I pray for a forgiving spirt among those of us that are angry about the seperation but let us use this as an opprotunity for growth and fellowship and not let it cripple us. So. What do you all say?

It won't cripple us and I don't think anyone is nursing a grudge. It's normal for people to feel hurt when they've been rejected by a group of people they fellowshiped with for years, who were their brothers and sisters in Christ.

Splits hurt. The hurt goes away, but the hurt is real. Denying hurt doesn't make it heal. Being honest that the pain exists starts the healing. Asprin never cured a broken bone.

I like your view on this and still believe ofcourse just that we should make the best of the situation.

I am Baptist, but was suprised over the split. But, shoot, ya'll got quite a thread count going on over here. :) To be very honest, I did not think that there would be so much activity because of the few Anabaptist here, but my oh my...what a suprise. People coming out of the woodworks...:) I very much enjoy replying to threads here that are fun and fellowshipping because of the friends I have come in contact with in the previous forum.

Love ya guys and gals...

I think this new forum can be a good thing. Of course, there will be differences of opinion, but it should filter out some of the issues that don't need to be hashed through time and time again. It was the non-resistance issue that made me leave CF. I got tired of the flame wars. This is one issue that we won't have to deal with on here.

Non-resistence would be one of the issues I think every anabaptist can agree on.

Overall it will be a good thing we just need to give it time :). So is there anyone that knows about the methodist. I work at a cardiologist's office and a patient came in saying that the leaders of the methodist church had a meeting and decided to move toward catholosism(sp)? Any news of this or anything like this recently?

Makes it so much harder for us to carp on what we think they believe instead of what they really are doing, too.

Spoils the fun, but gives you a better answer!
