I just wanted to reach out and ask for prayers for my mother. For over a year, she's been having health issues. She gained an excessive amount of water fluid which was pressing up in her lung/heart area. It took over a year for the Doctors to act upon this. They gave her medication to relieve some of the pressure. In that time, they started to check into her liver and did a biopsy. In May, we found out she has (non-alcoholic) cirrhosis of the liver. It was most likely due to all the medicines she takes. She is diabetic. Well, the fluid was'nt getting any better, she was extremely fatiqued, and she was developing a lump in her neck. They did a biopsy on the lump and we were told that it was a benign (sp?) tumor. She went into surgery the beginning of June to have it removed and they sent the lump off for more testing to be sure. She recovered fine. About 3 weeks later, we were told that it was cancerous. It's a very rare cancer and I'm not sure of the name. It's very long and it probably has every letter of the alphabet in it. :) Anyway, she goes back into surgery tomorrow to check into her lymph nodes and further down to look for any remaining cancer. I'm assuming that's what they're doing. My mother isn't one to give out too many details on anything. It's going to be a 4 hour surgery and very involved because of the risk of hitting any veins/arteries.

Just pray that the doctors find and treat what they need to. Pray for my family. We are all believers so were doing okay and have a peace with everything, but just pray for our encouragement. My mother is the godly woman that is described in Proverbs, and it saddens me to see her being sick and tired all the time.

Thank you....Łamb :)

Lamb..... your mother and your family are now in my prayers.

May God's peace enfold you all, and may you rejoice in His love; even during this time of trial. I will pray for the doctors and medical personnel ........ that they will work diligently to take care of your Mom.

And I will pray God's will is done to His honor and glory, and that you all will feel His presence comforting and supporting you always.

My mother just came out of surgery and is in the recovery room at this time. My sister went and sat with my dad in the waiting room so she was able to post us on her progress. The doctors pretty much peeled her neck open. They found alittle bit of cancer in her jawbone area. Because of where it was at, they had to cut a small amount of muscle tissue and nerve endings out also. She won't be able to frown on one side of her face. I teased and said that maybe she'll have the Joker smile (batman). Sorry, we always have a sense of humor in our family even in the hardest of times. :) They're going to send what they took out off to the labs to be researched more. Other than that, she pulled through great and will be paying her a visit.

Thankyou all so much for prayer and thoughts. It truly means alot to me. :)

Thank you all...

I went and saw her this evening. She's doing pretty good, but she's quite medicated. God is so good. She is able to move the area that she wasn't supposed to because of the muscle that was cut out. She has to do lip/jaw exercises....and not this kind  Anyway, her cut looked pretty good. She had an incision that went from the bottom of her chin, all the way under her jawline close to the ear, and down do her lower neck/shoulder area. Yeah....a really big cut. I teased and said she looked like Frankenstein. (as I said, we love humor in our family). But right now she's affected by the anesth....oh, I can't spell it, but the stuff that puts you to sleep during surgery. By Mon. or Tues., we'll have results back from the lab and hopefully will get more answers into her long-term care. But things are looking good so far.

Thank you God :prayer:

Love ya'll....Łamb :)
