AN ANCIENT prayer book found in a bog has been hailed as one of Ireland's most significant discoveries in decades, and perhaps centuries.

The National Museum of Ireland said fragments of what appeared to be a Psalter or Book of Psalms, written around AD 800, were uncovered by a bulldozer in a bog in the south Midlands.

yeah, that might be a good idea, though i don't know if members can change the thread title or not? i was wondering what "rish" was, maybe some kind of religion or a primitive Christian Church or something (i'm not kidding), irish didn't even dawn on me till you said that about the "I". :sorry:
