What exactly does biblical prophecy say about Israel? I'm very interested in what is going on and how certain things are being fulfilled. It amazes me.
Thanks, Shalom

One thing to keep in mind is that the Judaic understanding of prophecy is not "future telling" but an articulation of the truth of God, which may or may not deal with future events yet to come.
"Future telling" is soothsaying...........the Torah is explicit about what to do with soothsayers.

How can this be? Every prophet in the bible told of events before they took place.

Did they?
There were things Isaiah spoke of that never came into being (a star falling on Babylon for instance............so was he a false prophet?
Moses was a prophet, and not everything he spoke on was regarding future events, but rather God's truth on the matter at hand.
IMO the understanding that prophecy = future telling is one of the many errors that Christianity has propogated with regards to understanding the Scriptures.

I look at prophecy somewhat differently. I see it as a :
If you don't do this, this will happen.
Sometimes the L-RD is specific when it will happen and for how long ( the Babylonian captivity for 70 years for instance, or even the foreign land of Egypt for 400) years. But there isnt' always a specific time involved. The coming of Messiah was given a specific timing, and also when the sacrifice would be cut off ( the 2nd temple falling).
They aren't predicting the future, rather warnings of what will come, or what 'could' come if_______________isn't heeded.
It's about G-ds plan, and secondly, mans willingness to obey or his propensity to rebel.

Thanks, ShalomI do have a question concerning this passage in Reve 11.
What Altar would be being measured shown in Reve 11:1  I have been told by others it doesn't matter to I don't know. Any views? Shalom and thanks.
Mark 15:38 and the veil of the Sanctuary was rent in two, from top to bottom,
Revelation 11:1:And given to me a reed like unto [a] staff saying: Be Ye Arousing! and Measure Ye! the Sanctuary/Naos of God, and the Altar and the Ones worshipping in it 2 And the Court [#833], the one without[#2081] the Sanctuary/Naos [#3485] be Casting- Out! [#1544] Out-side [#1854] and ye should not be measuring it/her, because it/she was given to the nations/gentiles, and the city, the holy, they shall be treading [#3961] for 40 and 2 months.
