last 6 years but Hizb'Allah has used the time of quiet to build up an arsenal of 12000 plus rockets and missiles, some capable of reaching Tel Aviv & Jerusalem. They have also built a complex network of tunnels and underground bunkers from which to attack Israel in the future
* On Wednesday morning July 12th, Hizb'Allah operatives infiltrated
Israeli territory to set up an intricate ambush, destroying two Israeli tanks, killing 8 Israeli soldiers and taking 2 other soldiers captive.
* A week before these hostilites began Iran's President Amahdinejad
stated that the time was ripe to remove Israel. It is very obvious to Israel, the US and UK that Hizb'Allah is motivated and backed in every way by Iran & Syria.
* There is a Hizb'Allah area in the suburbs of Beirut that is off limits
to non Hizb'Allah personell.
* Israel has responded to the unprovoked Hizb'Allah attack by doing their
best to only target military targets. The problem is that Hizb'Allah has entrenched its soldiers right in the middle of civilian suburbs and villages.
* Hizb,Allah are purposefully rocketing Israel civilian centres - more
than 1600 rockets have hit Israel in 10 days. Now they are threatening to use a dirty bomb carrying used nuclear fuel rods from Iran. They want to kill as many Jews as possible. They are even prepared to kill Israeli Arabs.
* It is as much in the interest of all the Democratic nations of the
world to be rid of Hamas and Hizb'Allah as it is in Israel's interest. These 2 organisations epitimise the goals of the fundamentalist Islamic world.

* All over the world political leaders, the media and people on the street are accusing Israel of using DISPROPORTIONATE force against Lebanon as they try to root out Hizb'Allah. In WW 2 the allies killed 10.8% of the German population while .94% of the British population died and .32% of the US. That is almost the same as the ratio of Lebanese and Israelis right now. Would the media & politicians also describe that the WW 2 figures as DISPROPORTIONATE?
* If Israel is forced to back off now, leaving Hizb'Allah in tact, then
Iran and Syria will re-arm and rebuild Hizb, Allah and it will only be a matter of time before the whole scenario happens again. Israel must be allowed to complete the task

A week into the current shooting war with Hizb'Allah, little attention had been paid to the Arab communities of northern Israel. They make up half of the one million residents of the Galilee and Haifa areas forced to flee or hunker down in bomb shelters under the barrage of the Katyusha rockets. But few outside Israel knew they were also being targeted. that is until a rocket struck the landmark Christian town of Nazareth and killed two young brothers from an Arab Orthodox family, aged 3 and 7.
"The missiles have been hitting the Arab villages too," Dr. Hani Shehadeh told The Christian Edition from his home just four miles south of the Lebanese border. "As Bibi Netanyahu told the Knesset the other day, a Katyusha doesn't have eyes to see whether it's a Jew or an Arab." Shehadeh, who pastors an Evangelical congregation, just sent an open letter to Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, calling him "a man of peace" and assuring that Arab Christians in the Galilee are praying for Israel's leaders in this crisis. "I am writing while my home and church building are being shaken by the rockets, yet we are not afraid, for we believe in the protecting hand of the Lord of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob," he wrote. "We are aware of the difficulties that you are facing mostly caused by the Islamic
extremists." "This war is not about politics as much as spiritual
warfare," he told The Christian Edition. "We believe the God of Israel is going to watch over this nation." Like so many other Galilee Arabs, he also has relatives in Lebanon that he worries about. "My Granny is Lebanese and we all have family there. Of course we pray they're all safe."
5. PM Olmert: Enough! Israel Will Eliminate Hizbullah and Hamas - Arutz 7 - July 18th
Prime Minister Ehud Olmert addressed the Knesset and the world Monday evening, saying "Enough!" and promising to fight until the threats of Hamas and Hizbullah are removed from the region. Olmert began his speech by offering condolences to families of the soldiers and civilians killed in the last six days of war: "I want to offer a big embrace to the families of the kidnapped and to the sons themselves." The prime minister went on to say that Israel has been threatened on its borders and though the Jewish State did not request these battles, it will not back down from fighting them. "We stand at a national moment of truth. Will we agree to live under this evil threat or will we fight.There is no more just struggle than that we are now engaged in," Olmert said. He mentioned the grandmother and grandchild killed in a missile attack in Meiron, Andrea Zeidman of Nahariya, killed while eating breakfast on her balcony, and Ella Aboukasis, the teenage girl killed protecting her younger brother from a Kassam rocket on a Sderot street prior to the Gaza withdrawal.
"Our enemies were mistaken to think that our desire to show restraint was a sign of weakness," Olmert boomed. In a reiteration of his refusal to negotiate with Hizbullah or Hamas prior to the release of the kidnapped soldiers, Olmert said, "It is of regional and international interest to control and dismantle the terror organizations and remove this threat from the Middle East. We intend to do so." Olmert explicitly pointed the finger at Iran and Syria, saying Hizbullah and Hamas "are nothing but emissaries, sent and supplied by enemies of peace in Tehran and Damascus."

The Lord then began to quicken a prophetic word to me. He said, "Watch Lebanon." Not only was He speaking to that church and the people there as a personal call for them to watch over the nation of Lebanon, but I felt like He was speaking to us as His people that Lebanon would become a real prayer focus and issue this year. I was hesitant to interrupt the service and give this word because I was not confident over who in the service would understand the concept of Lebanon today. However, I am glad that I heeded the Lord's voice that He was calling us to pray for Lebanon this year.
I heard the Lord say the following: "In the midst of the summer at the hottest point you will begin to see the snow of Lebanon melt. Watch as Palestine and Syria form an ungodly alliance with Lebanon. For Lebanon is at the end of the fork of the road of change for the Middle East. Lebanon will become an issue that causes the Middle East to go one way or the other. In the midst of the beauty and grandeur of this place I will begin to write a new script over how the nations will realign. Out of Lebanon a new wineskin will form and a new river will begin to rise. I will bring conflict into Lebanon because it is the boundary that I will deal with this year concerning My promised land of Israel. The warlike tribes of Lebanon will once again arise. But in the end I will win this war, and the riches that have been withheld from My kingdom plan will be released. Watch and see for there is a new vision. For in the days ahead you will hear a cry arise from the deep affliction and mourning that comes out of Lebanon. Out of the ancient city of Damascus, you will see a caravan arise.
