Hey Jason, I think this is totally normal to go thru. There are times when we feel totally 'On fire' and giving Christ your all and there will be times when we feel distant. I go thru stages like that and sometimes it seems like its a testing stage or pruning or maybe I have taken a step back to get my head around things Ive been studying for sometime. Recently this has happened to me. I see it as a time to live what Ive learned. I have less time to study the word but I have more time to live it, Im doing more. Its just something you go thru. I would say to make an effort to take time to Praise the Lord every day no matter what else you do. Sometimes its simply more work, takes more of an effort to make Jesus a priority in your life. Im right there now.

also... The Lord gives us information that just throws us. He allows our faith to be challenged and He will take what you think or presume about Him and blow it out of the water. Sometimes take you to another level. This sometimes happens to me just after Ive gone thru a stage you described. And sometimes Its a result of us making that effort I described before.

Try alternating between times of wisdom and action. Inner and Outer. Study, do devotionals, read scripturally sound books by Christian authors/pastors...but when you start to 'wear down', drop the books and go do something. Donate time to a charity or hospital, find out if your church does a prison ministry (either mail or in person).

Just keep Him in you mind and in your heart and He understands...He went through a great deal of suffering for us, contemplating what He did for us is usally enought to get my mind back on track.

hello Jason my name is Lucy iīm a missionary, well like any other relationaship your relationship with God has its days of silence, but it doesnīt mean that you did something wrong, just that God wants you to walk by faith and not just by feelings, keep searching for more of His presence, and trust in Him, and believe that He wants to be with you much more then you want to be with hIm, donīt forget that He loves you. blessings
