What Orthodox magazines are there? Which ones would be good for newcomers to the faith?

I believe Antiochan's conciliar press publishes a magazine called "AGAIN".
The magazine found in many barnes & noble book stores called Christian History & Biography, every now and then they have excellent features which are relevant for Orthodox Christians. There Orthodox issues are very balanced inspite of this magazine having ties with ChristianityToday mag. You will have to check out their back issues. Here is their link:

ChristianHistory.net | Learn the History of Christianity & the Church (http://www.christianitytoday.com/history)

I also recommed the Dec 1983 issue of National Geographic. Excellent feature on byzantium and Orthodoxy. You can find them on e-bay

There are online publications that can also be subscribed to, I believe at oca.org
"The Orthodox Church" and "SVS" among others.
If you read Russian, "Foma" (fuh-MAH - that is, (St) Thomas) is pretty good.

I was looking at that site a few weeks ago.... The page hasn't been updated since 2005, the last back issue is winter 2006.. about 2 issues behind by now. Still publishing?

Concilliar Press also has one for the ladies called "The Handmaiden." A group price is available which is a good discount.

I read the Again magazine also. The recent issue on Voices for Orthodox Unity in North America was very good.

WORD magazine often has some pretty good articles in it. However, being the magazine for the Antiochian Archdiocese it also contains alot of business stuff...

This one is for women: http://stnina.org (http://stnina.org/).

St Nina Quarterly is a good magazine. For some reason, they haven't updated for a while.

The Orthodox Word (different from WORD) is my favorite. It's published by St. Herman of Alaska press.
