sore feet
It started with a dream Wednesday night, or i guess Thursday morning. It was an odd dream. I am not going to describe most of what i saw, as it doesn't really matter to anyone but myself and i know what it means.
Thursday morning on my way to work the interstate was backed up. I have never seen it this bad before. I was stuck in traffic for three and a half hours. My knee was hurting from sitting and pressing the brake and gas (http://www.christianforums.com/t1913320#) over and over and over again. Many cars had pulled over on the right and on the left side of the road.
When i had made it to work, after decideing to take a shortcut, which only made the situation worse, i heard several eighteen wheelers had rolled and a few cars were involved and the interstate had been closed for a few hours. The back road i used to take was not there anymore, it had been awhile since i took that route.
The air conditioning doesn't work in my car (http://www.christianforums.com/t1913320#) and i just felt completely drained from sitting out in the heat (http://www.christianforums.com/t1913320#) for so long. I just sat in my chair with the fan on me for awhile before ventureing out to work on stuff in the building.
I was in an accident on my way home. The guy just stopped right in front of me, I tried to stop but it was too late. I rear ended him.
About 30 minutes later the police showed up. The man i hit wanted to wait for them rather than just exchange insurance information. I'm sure he was one of those guys that tries to get someone to rear end them. There were no cars in the lane and he had to of been watching me in his mirrors, or maybe it was because he was too busy watching his computer screen and not paying attention to the road? Whatever happened or how it happened it is all g-ds will.
The police said to the man that he could leave, but they said i had two warrants for my arrest. I had two tickets i never took care of. I kept recalling my dream. In my dream the police handcuffed me, but only one hand. The officer said that they may come back clear. Of course i knew that they were not going to.
While she was driveing me to the jail i told her i had a dream and in it a police officer had put handcuffs on me. I didn't hear what she said in reply to that. I said i should have stayed home. There were other parts of the dream i kept thinking about and couldn't figure what it meant.
While they were booking me i was told that my fines were Six hundred and sixty six dollars. I said, "figures, the devil is always out to get me".
One thing about all this i'm leaveing out that i will add is that when i got the tickets i was arrested for, it was the car next to me that had slowed down but the police man pulled me over and gave me the ticket. I know this because i have a habit over the last couple of years to not speed. I do not speed. I'm also not going to argue with a cop. I just took the tickets and said thank you. So you see, the legal system is flawed.
The truth to me in all this is that i was curious to see where father was takeing me in all this.
A woman locked in a room was howling. I mentioned to one of the men, speak of the devil, he just kinda smiled. She was definately a bit looney.
They sat me down in a waiting area and i watched cnn. The war in Israel and Lebanon was being reported.
I'll continue this in a bit, got to get some things done around here.
I was given an exchange of clothes. The outfit with the stripes and some flip flops. The group of guys was taken up in an elevator... actually, we went down. There was a room with cells that kind of looked like what you see in those prison flicks, two story, chain link fence, large steel doors. At least i got my own cell. Soon i discovered that i had been charged with a suspended liscence. They said i would need to get an attorney. I had no idea that any of this stuff was that serious. I guess it doesn't really matter since i never been able to afford to pay the reinstatement fee to un-suspend it.
I went back to my cell and just layed on my bed, cot or whatever you call it. It had one of those gym mat things thrown over some steel frame. Not the most comfortable accomodations. My timeing also did not allow for me to eat. I had missed the chow time. I have a suspicion that it would not have been kosher anyrate, so i decided it was a good time to fast. I also had time to pray.
Boredom can set in a bit quickly when your locked inside a steel room with a small little square window in the door. I could smell the cleaning chemical they used to mop the floors. I could tell that it had been mopped, but it sure was very dirty looking. Definately not a place you want to walk around in barefoot.
I layed on my bed just stareing at the ceiling and the walls. I began to humm. For some reason, i just started to sing. I remember hearing that some of the apostles would sing songs when they were in prison. I imagine they were probably mistreated.
My door to my cell was actually unlocked for about an hour before a guard walked by and pushed it shut.
About midnight we went to see the judge. I was kinda glad to see him so soon. Basically, he gave me 30 days to pay 550 dollars, not a problem, just have to make it happen, and i will. He knocked off some of the money from the tickets, that was cool. He gave me a court date to come back later about the suspended liscence thing.
The only reason why it was suspended was because i had gone through a red light a long time ago. I had payed the ticket off like the next day, then they said i was going to have my liscence suspended and had to pay a bunch of money to get it back. At that time i had just bought a house and it ate all of my money. I had nothing to spare and my wife had to get a job too. It was the biggest mistake i ever made, getting that mortgage.
The judge signed the papers right then and there for me to be released. I was the only one that he released right then and there. Except for maybe that girl that was arrested for writeing a 20 dollar hot check, that she said she had already payed with her credit card a long time ago. The judge gave her a bond, after he read that her paper work would not allow her to have one. I think it was from some place like Tennessee. She was going to be held for up to 10 days if they did not come and get her she would have been released afterwards. All that over a 20 dollar hot check.
I was taken back to my cell. I just could not sleep at all. At 3 am they took me out, put me in the elevator to go up. I stepped out and was given my bag of clothes back. I changed, went outside and walked over to the phone. I tried to call my wife and let her know i was out. I only had one dollar in my wallet, no change at all. The operator message reminded me that i have a collect call block on my line. O great i thought. I don't have anybodies phone numbers with me and i didn't really feel comfortable calling anyone at 3 am. I don't like to ask people to do anything for me either. I figured i'd walk home. I also figured that my vehicle would have been in the impound and that i would have to get it out in a few hours.
I started walking towards my house. I walked right past the state capital. I hadn't visited there in sometime. Still looks the same. lol I began calculateing which route i should take to get home. Now i happen to be liveing in the worse part of town and i remember a cousin of mine telling me he was stabbed while walking to his home really late at night after crossing a certain bridge. That route would be the shortest, but too dangerous for me to take a chance with haveing to fight off hoodlums. Either route i took i would have to go through bad neighborhoods.
I did pass one bus stop with a bench that a man was sleeping on and as i passed him i saw another man ahead of me come out of the shadows. He began to ask me for change. I told him i had just gotten out of jail. He asked me again if i had some spare change, i said louder to him, that i had just gotten out of jail. I think that gave him the point that i did not have any money. I actually had one dollar.
The last officer i spoke to before i walked out of the last locked doors said to me that i should keep that dollar because it must be good luck for me to have gotten out of jail so quickly. He said that people have to believe in something for luck. He asked me if i believe in good luck. I said J-sus. I will put my luck in J-sus not a dollar. He said, something like, yea brother, but when J-sus starts talking back to you people start thinking your crazy. I didn't say anything at all. They did ask me earlier if i heard voices that other poeple don't hear. I also didn't say anything, but i was thinking that Moses too heard father speak to him and many many others. They would have kept me longer i know and ran test on me if i said anything.
It took me about 2 and a half hours to walk home. I walked fast too. When i got home i saw my dads car in front of my house. Figures. So i bathed, took a bath and went to my brothers and borrowed my sisters car to drive to work. I got to work on time too. My vehicle was in the driveway. My wife managed to get to it in time, but she had to pay the wrecker truck 50 dollars to keep them from takeing it.
My wife said that the police man wanted to put her in jail because of how she was acting and speaking to him. Of course she has no reason that they could find to arrest her.
It hurt to walk once i arrived to work.
I have a side job now form some Hindu's that will allow me to make the money i need to pay these things, if all goes well.
I pray that all goes well.
The other parts of the dream came to pass over the next couple of days.
Now i'll be able to get my liscence again and i'm thinking a passport.
