Reflections On Aging
Remember, old folks are worth a fortune, with silver in their hair, gold in their teeth, stones in their kidneys, lead in their feet, and gas in their stomachs.
I have become a little older now and a few changes have come into my life. Frankly, I have become quite a frivolous old gal. I am seeing five gentlemen every day. As soon as I wake up, WILL POWER helps me get out of bed. Then I go down the hall and see JOHN.
Next, CHARLIE HORSE comes along and takes a lot of time and attention. When he leaves ARTHUR RITIS shows up and stays the rest of the day. He doesn't like to stay in one place very long, so he takes me from joint to joint.
After such a busy day, I'm really tired and glad to relax with BEN GAY.
What a life! The preacher came to visit me the other day. He said, at my age, I should be thinking about "the hereafter."
I told him, "Oh, I do, all the time. No matter where I am-in the parlor, upstairs, in the kitchen or down in the basement-I ask myself, "NOW, WHAT AM I HERE AFTER?"

Then I go down the hall and see JOHN
Hey leave me out of this. I have my own problems :)
God Bless JOHN

At least I'm not alone in my searching. What really bothers me is when I find what I wanted in my other hand. ^_^

There was nothing I couldn't do at your age ctay and I remember playing the part of the murderer in "Dial M" and learning 18 pages of dialog. I had 2 youth groups and sang in the AB choir and traveled through Europe.
You just need to challenge yourself a little :)

The original theme on this thread was "reflections on aging" with it humorous content.
I've been reflecting back over the last 5 months since my heart attack and remembering what my doctor told me about the "post traumatic syndrone" symptoms that I had. I'm sure you guys never notices my personality eraticness :) Anyway I remember many occasions in decreasing occurances that I didn't belong here on earth. Very weird. Don't know if it was the medication or.............anyway I'm more ready now to hear my masters voice than I've ever been in my life and.................... it's OK.

Well, I think that having 2 youth groups, singing and murder do have some word relationship ... at least in the ears of the victims.
These poor youth probably remembered that day ...
What are they, in their 80s by now?

You are needed here. :)
When both of us get home, Apostle Paul will explain what he felt when he said ...
2CO 5:6 Therefore we are always confident and know that as long as we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord. 7 We live by faith, not by sight. 8 We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord. 9 So we make it our goal to please him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it. 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.
Thanks,
Ed :)

I love the stuff Bill Cosby has done regarding getting older. looking all over the place for his glasses when they were on top of his head the whole time. TRIFOCALS, and the bit about short term memory traveling from your head to your seat. Perhaps you can remember seeing them on his comedy videos. The guy cracks me up.
My mind tells me I'm 20, but my body tells me I'm 90. I think we should meet about halfway and consider it a truce.
