I am asking this of the different denominational groups to see what the answers are for each group.
What do Messianic Jews view God's Purpose as being?
What is the main idea of the Bible?
What is His purpose for man? What is God's purpose for Himself?
Thank you, Dana

Well I reckon Solomon had it pretty Down pat Ecc 12:13 "Let us therefore hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and Keep his Commandments: for this is the whole duty of Man.
14. For God shall bring every work into judgement, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil."
Plus add what Stone said. :-P

Restore man to rightful heir of the kingdom of earth, remove sin and sinner from the earth, thus restoring the peace and harmony as only God can provide.

I'm disappointed that no one mentioned Yeshua, the person that created this whole earth that allows us to take part in God's eternal plan in the first place!

Answers:
1. Answers will vary, depending on how one understands grace and God's love.
2. The main idea of the Bible is Yeshua. How awesome He is, how much he loves us. How He led the children of Israel out of Egypt, how He gave the Torah, how God manifested Himself, unseen in Spirit form, to the human form for us to physically interact with; for Him to purchases us with His blood; for Him to come and take us up to the Father's manion one day and leave this world behind forever.
3. God's purpose for man is to know and obey His Son, and to freely recieve His love and grace. God's purpose for Himself in all this is to recieve an inheritance of people that truly love Him.

What do Messianic Jews view G-d's Purpose as being? to be G-d
What is the main idea of the Bible? To communicate G-d's instructions, the result of obedience and disobedince and to give hope
2 Timmothy 3:15b-17
you have known the Holy Scriptures, which can give you the wisdom that leads to deliverance through trusting in Yeshua the Messiah. 16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is valuable for teaching the truth, convicting of sin, correcting faults and training in right living; 17 thus anyone who belongs to God may be fully equipped for every good work.
What is His purpose for man? Micah 6:8
Human being, you have already been told what is good, what ADONAI demands of you - no more than to act justly, love grace and walk in purity with your G-d.
What is G-d's purpose for Himself? I don't think that is any of my business.... see question 1
Isaiah 55:9 "As high as the sky is above the earth are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

I just got this in an e-mail today about God's purpose so I thought I'd share it here.
God’s Eternal Purpose
Bible Verses
Eph 1:5 Predestinating us unto sonship through Jesus Christ to
Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,
Rom 12:2 ...the will of God is, that which is good and well
pleasing and perfect.
Words of Ministry
Brothers and sisters, God created us with a purpose, and He
also saved us with a purpose. God’s intention is that we
express the life of His Son and partake of the glory of His
Son. In eternity past God had a purpose; He did not want just
an only begotten Son, but many sons. Hence, Romans 8:29 says,
“Because those whom He foreknew, He also predestinated to be
conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the
Firstborn among many brothers.” God predestinated us to be
conformed to the image of His Son. Then He bought us and
redeemed us so that He could gain us.
This is our ultimate goal today....God has an eternal purpose,
which is accomplished through His Son. God created everything
through Him for this purpose. Redemption is for this purpose,
the defeat of Satan is for this purpose, and the salvation of
sinners is for this purpose. We have to know God’s eternal
purpose before we can accomplish what God wants us to
accomplish. We are not here merely for the salvation of
sinners; we are here for the accomplishment of God’s eternal
purpose.
If we do not consecrate ourselves [i.e. give ourselves to God],
we will never realize that this will is good....We can sing
about the goodness of God’s will! We can say hallelujah
because of the goodness of God’s will! God’s will is good and
not malicious. His will is for our profit and without malice.
We are too shortsighted. God’s will is good.

Lu 2:49 And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?
Joh 5:19Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.
John 8:12-20 12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. 13 The Pharisees therefore said unto him, Thou bearest record of thyself; thy record is not true. 14 Jesus answered and said unto them, Though I bear record of myself, yet my record is true: for I know whence I came, and whither I go; but ye cannot tell whence I come, and whither I go. 15 Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man. 16 And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me. 17 It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men is true. 18 I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me. 19 Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also. 20 These words spake Jesus in the treasury, as he taught in the temple: and no man laid hands on him; for his hour was not yet come.
Joh 10:30I and my Father are one.
