I am asking this of the different denominational groups to see what the answers are for each group.
What do Methodists view God's Purpose as being?
What is the main idea of the Bible?
What is His purpose for man? What is God's purpose for Himself?
Thank you, Dana

God's purpose is as our Creator, Redeemer, and Sanctifier (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit :))
The main idea of the Bible is God showing his unlimited love for us that he sent his Son to die upon the cross to redeem us from our sins and to restore our relationship with him.
His purpose for man is that we would love and obey him giving him praise, honor and glory.
God's purpose from himself (IMO) is to recieve that glory, praise, and honor and to show us his love.
That's what I think at least. :)
