This blew me away the other day. My 11 year old daughter had a dream that her Grandpa(my Dad) had had a heart attack and died. Then I find out that my sister had a very similar dream around the same time about the same thing. One dream worried me a little but two similar dreams has me a bit flusted to say the least. We have prayed that my Dad will be ok, thinking that these dreams could be a warning of things to come. He is a prime candidate for a heart attack because he is overweight and does not excercise and probably does not eat what he should. All I can do is pray though. He does not drink or smoke so that is in his favour. He is also a Christian so I know he is in God's hands. Please pray with me that he will be ok. This has shaken a few of us up who we have told in the family.Thankyou.:groupray:

Dreams are almost never prophetic, but are manifestations of our own emotions. It's most likely that your daughter and sister are worried about your father's heart and that worry expressed itself through these dreams.

The dreams are merely expressions of the fear that your dad will have a heart attack, which seems somewhat likely given what you have told us. You need to get your dad to a doctor who can give him a stress test to evaluate the condition of his heart. God does not protect people from heart attacks, so don't depend on the fact that he's a Christian to prevent one from happening. Both my parents, strong Christians, died from heart attacks, as did my Christian grandmother.

The best course of action is for you to take these dreams as expressions of what you have already observed and get him evaluated as soon as possible. He can be treated for a heart condition if you find out in time. If you wait, it might be that these dreams will come true.

The fact that your kids had the dream means that God wants the three of you to convince your Dad to change his ways. Either that or it is direct prophecy and you should prepare your hearts.

I would get yourself and your children to have a serious but loving chat with him. And tell him of the dreams.
