Anyone know where I can purchase large numbers of tallit as cheaply as possible? I'm looking for the large 48X72 or even the 24X72 size . . . .
Thanks :D

Well, there are many cheaply made ones out there. Are you looking for Kosher ones?
We just got a great deal on a woolen one with the wall 'waterstamped' into the fabric and the tzitziot holders have Sha'alu Shalom Yerushalyim in them, a wonderful reminder, no?

that's a start . . . . I checked Ebay and there are a couple of dealers on there who sell in "lots" - one guy is offering 12 for $150 . . . . which isn't bad - they are the 24X72 - but I'm hoping that there is somewhere else out there who can cut me a better deal.

This might be a good page for you. They have two on sale, with many widths and lengths to choose from- might be about $20 each

I have a feeling from my brief research so far, eBay might be the best deal.

:) Our bishop is doing a teaching series - on the Holy Spirit, His language, and how to understand it - and they would be for those involved. :)
I can tell you that I love to pray with mine on. I always feel the Lord when I pray wearing my Tallit. :D Especially the one which was blessed on Pentecost.

Will they be taking on the mitvzos represented by the tzitziot?

Once in a while you can talk to the Shofar Man and he may have some on the cheap. Other times he is not so honorable.
I do pray that you understand that by accepting the tzitzit that you also accept the law as valid and are striving to keep it. Wearing a Tallit will not make you more holy nor spiritual. Wearing it is a covenant between you and HaShem

Could you please elaborate further on what you meant by a covenant between HaShem and the person wearing the tallit? thanx.

How can we be sure? The command is to wear the tzit tzit on the four corners. Can you direct me to some information that would verify your statement? In the New Covenant we are told that the woman touched the fringe. The same word occurs on five occasions, but there is not much more than that written.

Have there been jews that do not?

Now open for posting.
Please keep the CF rules in mind, this thread is not [open].
This thread is a fellowship thread, so please keep that in mind, if you have a source to help our the OP with on his endevour to find one, please post it. If you would like to debate the validity of wearing a tallit, who should wear one, etc, I have started a theread, based on a book I just got about tzitzith, and we can discuss that better there.
