This site uses the Nicene Creed to deterime who can post in the Christians Only section. We do not take a stand on the salvation or Christianity of any member. Due to the fact we have a Christians Only section we have to have something that determines who is a Christian for the purposes of posting in that forum.
The Nicene Creed was written, in part, to combat the heresy of modalism. Oneness theology on the nature of the Godhead is modalism. It is a doctrine that has been around since the church began and rejected by the highest levels when there were still churchwide councils. It was also written in part to counter Arius's claim that Jesus was not fully God. It is the single most used creed in Christendom at this point. It is a measure of orthodoxy. As such, for the purposes of this site only, those who adhere to oneness doctrine are not allowed to post in the Christian's Only area as they canot affirm the Nicene Creed.
