I figured a few of you may be interested to hear that I've been accepted as an administrative assistant with Bridges for Peace (http://www.bridgesforpeace.com). So, I now have two months to sell my house, sell my car, raise support, and get to Jerusalem!

Baruch HaShem! That was a quick answer to prayer! That is wonderful news Justin!!!!!
I am sure that since He has gotten you this far, He will be faithful to make everything else you need to happen, happen.

The first three months it's a visitors visa. After that, I have to apply for a volunteer visa that would need to be renewed anually.

I met a realtor yesterday that thinks she can sell my house (and my car! ) by September, which is good. However, I got an email from Bridges today asking if it was at all possible for me to be there sometime in August. I have no doubt God will work it all out, but yikes!

If it is Adonai's will it is quite possible to sell your house in a single day! He sold ours for us in just 6 hours - and at full asking price!!

Due to a lousy housing market, I still find myself in Colorado. I was hoping to be gone before the first snow. Instead, I got to go to work in a blizzard last week. :sigh:

Looks like I have an offer on my house, though I don't know what it is just yet. Prayers that this works out, so I don't lose my spot at BFP for taking too long, would be appreciated.

I'm beginning to clear out my house for sale tomorrow, as a matter of fact. Have not gotten a "word" yet, but want to be ready when and if I do!

Have you ever had something happened that left you so in awe of God that you were speechless?
Well, as of Saturday, I was concerned that I'd lose my spot with BFP and that my house would never sell.
As of an hour and a half ago, my counter offer had been accepted and my house will belong to someone else on December 11th. In something like a month and a half I'll be living in Jerusalem. I'm humbled and in complete awe of a God who provides for me even though I don't deserve it.
Psalm 137
1 By the rivers of Babylon,
There we sat down and wept,
When we remembered Zion.
2 Upon the willows in the midst of it
We hung our harps.
3 For there our captors demanded of us songs,
And our tormentors mirth, saying,
"Sing us one of the songs of Zion."
4 How can we sing the LORD'S song
In a foreign land?
5 If I forget you, O Jerusalem,
May my right hand forget her skill.
6 May my tongue cling to the roof of my mouth
If I do not remember you,
If I do not exalt Jerusalem
Above my chief joy.
7 Remember, O LORD, against the sons of Edom
The day of Jerusalem,
Who said, "Raze it, raze it
To its very foundation."
8 O daughter of Babylon, you devastated one,
How blessed will be the one who repays you
With the recompense with which you have repaid us.
9 How blessed will be the one who seizes and dashes your little ones
Against the rock.
