what's your nerdiest subject/skill? hmmm... pretty much anything to do with computers I think

do you have any compulsive tendancies? not that I can think of...

do you think of yourself as feminine? whyso? not really, no... I tend towards tom-boy but occasionally my feminine side breaks out and takes over lol

do you know what a xyphoid process is? not a clue lol

I have a couple of questions:

1. Is the daschund your favorite breed of dog?

2. How do I close a thread? If this is answered somewhere else, please direct?.

Thanks

1. Is the daschund your favorite breed of dog? yeah the miniature dachshund is my favorite, followed closely by the pug and beagle.

2. How do I close a thread? If this is answered somewhere else, please direct? Members can't physically close threads themselves, but if you want/need a thread closed (if it's a thread you started), PM a moderator directly (preferably one who is a moderator for the specific forum in which the thread is located) and ask them to close it... that'd probably be the best way.

Is it hard being a mod? Does it take up a lot of the time you spend on CF?

Is it hard being a mod? sometimes, but it's also a lot of fun and feels good knowing you're helping to keep the site running smoothly
Does it take up a lot of the time you spend on CF? definitely. but to compensate for that, I just spend twice as much time on CF, half doing moderator stuff, the other half doing regular member stuff LOL

do you know what a xyphoid process is? not a clue lol
well it's actually a part of the body.

Xiphoid process: A pointed cartilage (http://www.medterms.com/script/main/art.asp?articlekey=2644) attached to the lower end of the breastbone or sternum (http://www.medterms.com/script/main/art.asp?articlekey=10323), the smallest and lowest division of the sternum. Cartilaginous early in life, it may become ossified (bony) in adults. It is sometimes simply called the xiphoid. Also known as the ensiform cartilage or process.

go figure! i learned that in high school and loved it ever since.

do you read much? what is your all-time favourite book?

What is the most interesting thing you've learned since becoming a moderator?

do you read much? lately I've been reading more... used to read all the time when I was a kid... could go through 2-3 books a *night*... before high school with the tons of homework. Now I read maybe 1-2 books a week.
what is your all-time favourite book? hmmm.... that's hard 'cuz I've read so many great ones. But my top three would have to be:
The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton
The Hiding Place by Corrie ten Boom
The Diary of Anne Frank

I originally had to read The Outsiders for school... and I actually wore out my copy of the book and had to get another one LOL
