Wow! Talk about anti-semitism.... and a whole lot of misinformation! :(

Because Jews and Christians don't believe in the same god. Jews call their god "YHWH," and claim that he revealed himself to the Prophet Moses. In many ways the Jewish deity resembles the true God of heaven.

Besides that, Jewish theology bears almost no resemblance to Christian theology. As far as false religions go, I think that Judaism is very respectable. It has a fine legal tradition and a host of theologians from many eras in human history. Their Maimonides rivals our Saint Augustine. But in the end, Judaism is nothing like Christianity. Some people think that Judaism is "Christianity minus Jesus" since Jews happen to believe in our Old Testament.

I reject Jews as fellow worshipers of God for the same reason that I reject Muslims and Buddhists. It is not because I hate these people; indeed I try to love them as myself. But ultimately, a person who does not know Christ does not know God. In my opinion, there's no reason to believe that Judaism has anything in common with Christianity.

Note: The all of the above quotes are from the same poster - the rest of the posts were not so off the wall. But I think this is a good example of some of the attitudes some christians hold.

I have to say it was all I could do not to post a refutation - but since that isn't my forum, it would probably be a rule violation.
