 Hi my real name is Sakkataaq Taqaugaq. Patterk is and English variation for the name Patiq which means the marrow of the bone. I took the first two letters of my names and combined them with the surname. Hence, you have Saint Marrow of the Bone. Sakkataaq is a trundling rock that flies so high in the air each time it hits the side of the mountain from bouncing so hard as it rolls down the mountain. Taqaugaq are the veins that run through the body.

HI Daniel  Wow that's the longest name I have ever seen. Good thing you didnt use it, none of us could say it ;) :)

I chose this name because someone had the name I wanted already. I chose this because I want to always mention the name of Jesus and lift Him up.

He said
"If I be lifted up I'll draw all men unto me"

The Lord is my banner
7th July 2006, 02:59 AM
“The Lord is my banner”

When I chose this name, a little over two years ago, I was feeling nervous about coming onto an internet forum for the first time. I wanted the Lord's name to cover me.

The banner is a powerful image from the scene of battle, a place of safety for troops to assemble under.

I thought of this first of all when I pondered the image of the banner flying over me:

Song of Solomon 2:4
He has taken me to the banquet hall, andhis banner over me is love.

I thought it was a bit long-winded for a name, (in fact it may not even have fitted in the box.)

Then I remembered this:

Exodus 17:15
Moses built an altar and called it The LORD is my Banner.
I find that a very powerful affirmation of God’s personal protection and signal of my allegiance to Him.

Sometimes I am waving the banner and saying; “I belong to the Lord, I am in His army, He's right here with me!”
When times get rough, I'm hiding under it!

The prophets speak of raising a banner as a sign of the Lord’s presence, protection, rallying cry, victory.

I am learning more about “my name” as I go along.

God bless, love Sue

nephilimiyr
7th July 2006, 04:54 AM
I chose my name because 3 years ago when I first found this site I was in deep study of some very deep theologies about the Nephilim and the Devine council and at the time figured I was only going to be here to talk about those things. I believe God sparked my interest in those subjects in order to bring me back home. Now that I am back home I'm more interested in going where God leads me.

Nephilim is Hebrew and can be found in Genesis 6:4 and Numbers 13:33 in the Hebrew Bible. In the English the word translated is giant and means a large person, in the Hebrew the word is a name for the offspring of celestial beings and human women.

Iyr is also Hebrew, with Chaldean origins, and means to open ones eyes and to watch or gaze upon, either in a physical or spiritual sense. It's also used as a name for a particular kind of angel called a Watcher. Daniel 4:13 is the only direct reference to one in the Bible.

With my interest in the Nephilim I combined the two Hebrew words to say that my eyes are open to the knowledge of the Nephilim. Now, I would much perfer that people see it as me with my spiritual eyes open and gazing upon Christ.

Jesusong
7th July 2006, 05:07 AM
My name was inspired by George Harrison. When he would publish his songs with the Beatles it would be under Harrisong LTD. He just added a G after his name. (Same as when Lennon/McCartney would publish their music under Maclen Music LTD.). When I started writing songs about Jesus, I put them in a notebook and titled it Jesusongs. I just carried it over as my screen name on the various message boards I go on. Jesus is my Lord and Saviour and I sing songs about Him.

talitha
7th July 2006, 08:25 AM
about 13 years ago someone gave me a teaching tape by John and Paula Sandford on the slumbering spirit. That has been one of the pivotal teachings of my life. After listening to this tape, I believed that God would awaken me - I believed that my spirit was not dead as it seemed to be, but sleeping, and that I would wake up. And soon there were signs of life, and I found I could make choices agreeing with life and 'awakeness' - sleeping people cannot make such choices. Anyway, I began to feel connected spiritually with the story of the girl Jesus raised, saying she was not dead but only sleeping- and he called her "talitha". Not long after that I began to use a Christian chatroom, and "talitha" was a natural choice for a nickname. It stuck. I've tried different screennames, but I really prefer this one. I feel that the Lord has given it to me.

youthwalk
7th July 2006, 08:32 AM
Youthwalk: originally the name of a book I bought but never finished reading.

But it's taking the concept of the word Youthwalk and combining it with the passion for mobilising youth in worship that God has placed on my heart that really inspired it.

It's also like the description of a journey or an event. My walk with God as a youth. Pretty simple actualy :)

Mt 3:15 And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus

What a bunch of hogwash this is. Mt. 3;15 has nothing to do with suffering. It has to do the the creator baptizing the whole creation. That's why the word say's there is only one baptism. Christ and Christ alone that matters.

habeas
8th July 2006, 05:56 PM
In Latin, habeas is from the root word "habeo." I took Latin for 3 years in high-school and 2 years in undergrad to fulfull my language equirement (because I was having trouble learning Greek or Spanish).

habeo habui habitum : to have, hold, possess.

In Latin, every word means several different things and the words do not have to be in any particular order. The meaning must therefore be derived from context.

It also means "to remove," as in "habeas corpus," which is also a legal remedy which means "to remove the body," a remedy I have employed in federal courts for imprisoned clients. (In law, Latin phrases abound).

Thus, this word encompasses and describes my reborn relationship with God: both removal (of sin, of fleshly desires) and possessing.....or having (the kingdom, the desires of my heart, Jesus himself!). "To remove" and "to have" are seemingly in opposition, but they co-exist harmoniously in the reborn spirit.

Hey Daniel, what's happening with the name bit? Is there a catch or a blessing or revelation that was suppose to come with this thread? I'm scratching my head now and am looking for some edification, prophesy, interpretation of names, you know something that's suppose to lead to the Lordhip of Jesus Christ? It would be nice to see what this is leading to.
