Now I had a discussion about masturbation before but now I'm thinking is dildos or any other sex toys that pleasure someone whether they are married or not, is that a sin? Or something you think God doesn't approve?

What about someone who is celibate? Do you think they would still be considered celibate if they do have sex toys and use them often?

would you feel comfortable talking to God about them?

Here is what Johnathan Edwards said:

I have made it a point to do nothing that I would be ashamed of if it was the final hour of Christ's return.

In other words if Jesus came back would you be ashamed to be caught doing that. If not then do it. It is one of those things. If you know what you are doing is wrong then it is a sin to you. The Bible is not 100% clear on this issue.

Well, you can always use Bill Clinton's excuse "It depends upon what the meaning of the word "is" is". :D

I'm thinking that you could be assured that God loves you're pleasuring yourself when all the buildings around you collapse on orgasim. If that happens from your DC machine, surely you would share that with us here too, right?

Do you understand this next question? I look forward to your testimony?

I'll meet you anywhere in the country to hold your hand as you walk up to the pulpit.

(now, what do you think God thinks about it?)

ROFL!! Sex toys? :D I looked in here and the dogs started barking...I started to run down the hall to yell, but slammed on the brakes.

Knowing me, I'd get distracted by something and never make it back here and there would be Hisgirl...all night stuck in the Sex Toys thread!

Ok, that said. If you got killed by a Mac truck, would you really want your parents sorting through your stuff and finding a bunch of vibrators and what-nots?

hmm..I see nothing sinful about spicing up the marriage bed. Except porn & stuff like that. Not personally my style but whatever.
If dh & I died and my kids or parents were going through my stuff and found stuff like that..big deal. I am dead.
And yes I would talk to God about sex toys, its something I would discuss with Him & my spouce before buying.

Go for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!If your heart doesn't condemn you I can't condemn you. I like the fact that you are being open about something you what to understand. If God wants it removed from you life he we tell you how and when.

I really have no idea when it come to the use of toys and other aids within the confines of marital relations.

I think that indulging in such activity by yourself, and/or outside of marriage only fuels lust in your life, and tends to usurp the rightful place of love and affection for another person. Self gratification is often seen as a simply physical gratification, like eating or scratching an itch etc.. but the truth is it has emotional aspects as well, and often times self gratification tends to take the place of real affection with a husband or wife.

Malachi 2:15 NIV (http://www.ibs.org/niv/passagesearch.php?passage_request=Malachi 2:15&niv=yes)
Has not the LORD made them one? In flesh and spirit they are his. And why one? Because he was seeking godly offspring.
