i'd like to hear some praises come out from all of us more often. it is so encouraging to hear the real truth from other believers in the race.

so here's a small praise from recent life: my boyfriend is being so supportive of my faith walk. The entire time he was here visiting two weeks ago he ate kosher along with me even though he doesn't yet feel convicted about food on his own. I felt very honored by that gesture of love and respect. Also, he has told me many times he can't wait to share shabbat dinners together and rest together on the sabbath day. how great is that! I really think that G-d is being so good to us right now. Especially since we don't agree on some theological issues. We're both in love with G-d so this is just bringing us closer. I need to keep being in prayer that we will be in unity.

but that's my praise!

want to share yours?

another praise:

this past weekend i was blessed with good times with my family. i always miss them. lots of love there. praise G-d for that bond!

my mother has been serving me so much lately; i don't know how to repay her! she has helped me with every single aspect of my car-buying situation for the past weeks. I found the car I am going to purchase and I can't believe the deal I'm getting! G-d truly has been leading me. I pray it lasts for a long, long, long time.

You know, every day I know without a doubt that I am taken care of. even so, I sometimes "forget" with my actions. Well, each time its proven to me again, it is a lesson learned :)

so praise G-d. He is the Great Provider.

Shalom,

I praise HaShem every day in prayer and grace for meals.

My dear father passed away last week, without pain, and I praise Him for that. The Sr. Rabbi was on vacation (whom I did not know), but the associate Rabbi was a classmate of my brother, I knew him, and he was a pure blessing. My rabbi, of my youth, is retired, and dying of cancer. He was able to come to the memorial service and give a eulogy. He was like a brother to my father for 51 years. My father would have liked these things, and for the peace and comfort this gave to his family and friends I praise HaShem!

It is not always easy to find things to praise Him when things appear tragic, but throughout it all He is there, with His mercy and loving-kindness. He is looking to bless His children. All one has to do is to look beyond yourself -- If you think you've had a bad day, re-read the book of Job.

Thanks for listening to my rambles,

CovenantRay :prayer:

praise and love for G-d in the midst of trial is where we find that joy is not the same as happiness.

want to share yours? How did he feel when he returned to his 'normal' way of eating?

The reason I am asking is because I just spent a week at conference and eating food I don't usually eat and got sick at the end of the week. I have also read if one eats organic kosher meat for a month and then tries to return to treif then they usually get violently ill.

It is wonderfull he is respectful of your beliefs, many aren't or come alongside begrudgingly, I had that trouble with my husband who came from a family that ate lots of sausage and pork, , but after years of trying with beef sausage and turkey sausage, we are now not even eating that because it isn't kosher, but use the soy products and Hebrew National for the Kielbasas and such that he likes ( yuk) so he is settling in. :)

My Praise, iz for this past week in all that I learned and all that I shared and all that I met, and connections made and history watched and hearts turned towards Hashem to serve him! Wow! what a week! I am thankful for safe passage to and from, and for those who watched over my house and puppy while gone, for LaBruite meals so I had something to eat! And for being able to walk all over campus with my broken foot all week with not much pain. So much more, HaSHem I am thankful for all things, good and not so good, Blessed be your Holy Name!!!!
