Hi everyone!

Sorry I dont have time to catch up with any of you but wanted to check in and let you all know I havent 'fallen away'. Our family decided to move in two weeks notice and were still in a rush to get our house ready for the new baby due in a few weeks! We also are not online yet at our new place so please excuse my absence. But....... good news! My daughter, my soon-to-be-born son and I became catechumens on All Saints Sunday! My husband attends regularly with us now also and will become a catchumen hopefully by this winter. Baby's not due until July 23 but I am already 2cm dialated and anxious for his arrival. I have a feeling he's going to come around the beginning of July. Thank you all so much for your support and prayers, and a special thank you to the super nice people who sent me some baby items. We are in good shape with what we need!

I miss hanging around here and Ill try to come back as soon as I can to make a baby announcement! Would you guys mind bumping this thread so those who know me but may not be around can read? Thanks!!!

April

PS If anyone would like to contact me feel free to use my v-card to send me an email. I try to check it every few days. Bye!

giving this thread a bump... I'm presuming there's a baby boy keeping Egirl too busy to give us an update... :)

oops, hope I didn't create any misunderstanding... according to the babies thread, her little boy was due July 23, but she hasn't been online since a week or so before that, so I really don't know what her status is... I thought maybe if she was lurking this would entice her to update. :)

You are right about that! I've only been on the boards once since my son was born... I intended on making an announcement but started answering a PM and never got a chance! How suprised I am to come here and find my thread on the front page!

So... HEY EVERYBODY!!!

Okay, but I'm really more behind than you think. Javan Michael arrived on Thursday, June 29. He weighed 7lb 8oz, 19in long. I found out a week before he was born that the doctor at my practice had charted my due date a week earlier than I'd thought. So though he was three weeks earlier than I expected, he was still full term.

Things were a little rocky at first. I was determined to breastfeed and he had a hard time getting started. He became very jaundiced and went back to the hospital a week later for phototherapy treatment. Now I can happily share that at 6 weeks, little Javan has grown to 10lbs 4oz and 23in... and all from the breast!

I really miss you all. Hope everyone is well. Im going to catch up on the other babies thread and then will have to head to bed Im afraid. I will try to check back tomorrow....

LOL!

I hope you can post a picture soon of your newborn son.

It is neat that he arrived on the Feast of Saints Peter and Paul.

What a holy day!

A friend of mine once commented about milk (that you buy at the store, lol) that it is designed to make very little cows big in a very short time...I am glad you and the baby are doing well!

I'm so glad you and he are doing well. Those first few weeks are crucial for a good nursing relationship. Sounds like you're on the right track!
