Since ECUSA's convention is a contentious issue among Anglicans, non-Anglicans should avoid weighing in on either side, neither with debate of their own, nor with support for any contender. I do have a tremendous ammount of respect for the ABC but must admit to a sneaking suspicion that what he does for half of his day is just sit in his study inventing new words.

Hrm. I have a sneaking suspicion that you have had little experience in leadership positions.

Try being ABC for a day. Or at least imagine it. I can't imagine how many directions that man is being pulled.

Of course i would be useless. I would be far too rash with any decisions.

Rowan is our Archbishop however and if he is not going to be the one to provide is with leadership then who on earth will? He is in an incredibely unenviable position but he agreed to all this. Can't he see that Anglicans everywhere, especially in the CofE, are screaming out for direction and where is he? He is our leader, our Archbishop and yet he seems more interested in writing yet another book foreword than giving his people the pastoral support we so desperately need.

I would propose that we can find the mind/will of Christ in Scripture...
