Rather than putting our own agendas forward, can we pray?
When the Tower of Babel fell,
all accord by word was lost,
till the Holy Ghost came down,
bringing hope at Pentecost.
Cloven tongues twice spake to man:
First as serpent at The Fall;
then as flames which lit and ran,
till men of one speech could speak to all.
Let the Holy Spirit come with fire of Pentecost.
Forge again, with tongues of flame,
the common tongue we had and lost.
Veni Creator Spiritus.
