It's final, the game's done! No link yet. But I just saw the game on Univision, two goals in the last several minutes. Gooooooool!

But man, England wasn't looking so hot for much of that game. They'd better pull themselves together for the rest of the Cup.

England typically peak early in these competitions, so it is no bad thing they are taking it easy to begin with.

Well done England, and well done T&T for making it a good game (didn't Yorkie play well?).

I quite enjoyed the game. It really helped to reveal some fundamental problems in the England game as it currently stands and now that the pressure is off for the next game hopefully we have the chance to work on those problems.

It's all about pacing yourself!

can't wait till Australia's next game, gainst brazil on monday morning (our time). we're so gonna kane 'em. ;) well, we kaned japan, so maybe brazil too? brazil are overconfident. if we can shut down their three midfielders ronadldihno & whatever, then we can flog 'em easy. only problem is we've got four key players on yellow cards (only learnt that one during qualifying, i'm not usually a big soccer [futbol for you poms (strictly no offense intended)] fan.) i usually follow footy [australian of course] and rugby league.

It wasn't true I can assure you.

The whole team played like a bunch of Sunday morning amatuers.

I was disgusted with them

:D :D

Taking it easy?

That's one way of putting it.

Playing like a load of big girls blouses would be another....

Aye, true enough, but you also gotta play, just a little bit.

Nah, for me it was Lennon all the way.

He's gonna be a star of the future for sure, but I don't think he has the ability to handle top class opposition just yet.

Playing well against T&T is one thing. Performing well against, say, Holland, is another.

The problem yesterday was a total lack of movement. No pace, no cutting edge, and lousy finishing.

The Swedes will put is to the sword if we poay like that on Tuesday.

That's what Lennon did. he wasn't integral in any goals but he bought of pace and movement into the game as well shaking up the T+T defence.

It was a wise move by Sven.

A wise move by Sven. That's rarity.

I agree, lennon did give us pace and movement, but against top class experienced defences I just don't think he's ready yet.

Besides we have the payers to do all that allready.

We shouldn't be having to bring kids on to do the mens jobs.

Sorry Tom, you're obviously a bit of a fan of the turnip (sorry swede), but I am very much of the opinion that if we do well in this world cup then it will be in spite of Erickson, not because of him.

The quicker he trots off to turn madrid into a boring defensive team, the better

The best offence is defence, or am i getting a bit confused?! :D

He's OK - i'l be sorry to see him leave. I just worry at times that his heart isn't really in it.

kaned them???

Yeah sure the goal by Japan should never have been allowed (for others the umpire later apologised for the decision). But Australias only goals were three in the last 8 minutes!!!!! Kaned!!!!

But hey - no point being negative.

I heard the game is going to be on at 2am - are you watching?
