View Full Version : Difference between Anglican and Old Catholic.

I am not sure what the last part of the name of this sub-forum means exactly...i.e.>>Anglican/Old Catholic.

Are these one and the same or are we talking about different church traditions or even different churches?

Thanks for sharing any information. Am just beginning to explore and learn more about Anglicanism. :cool:

Also don't know what "Old Catholic" is...:confused:

Not much of a difference, except chiefly in history.

Both churches are in a state of Full Communion with each other.

In a nutshell (by no means comprehensive), Old Catholics are Roman Catholics who rejected the concept of Papal Infallibility when it was introduced at Vatican 1.
