It's pretty - but - I'm afraid to ask, almost - what's a summoner?

It is very pretty, but I would rather wear something ugly than anything named after a summoner. Witchcraft, magic is not of God! So, I don't think that it should be on Christian Forums.
True Holy power comes from God!
God bless.

Kaiya, I have also said it is pretty, it is the description that bothers me and I sure would many others.:)

Here is a go at creating a more CF friendly version of the dress.

http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c219/Koplio/CF/yunad1_pp.gif
BTW, this is my first serious go using The GIMP, for a free program, it rocks. :)

Also it's final fantasy, you know a video game, it's meant to be you know FANTASY and not of this world, so this isn't celebrating 'witchcraft' more then the graphic designer's creativity. If you can find another referance for the term yuna, then Final Fantasy and 'night', please by all means correct me.

If you notice the suit my CF character is wearing, it's from Tim Burton's Nightmare before christmas. I doubt this supports 'the undead' or the idea of halloween more then the movie.

That looks nice. Maybe, it can be called an japanese outfit instead or something.

Thanks, yeah I'm sure the word 'Summoner' could be replaced by 'FFX' (final fantasy 10). ;)

I agree, we also have the white witches outfit from Narnia, and she is very much a witch and a sailor moon outfit. I like fantasy :)

I don't think we should have Satanic or occultic costumes on here - including the sailor moon stuff. That's just me - and I'm obviously not the one making decisions - just expressing an opinion.

We take concerns of this sort very seriously in the approval process. I haven't heard FF described as occultic before, but I'm not into RPGs. (Ummm...this IS an RPG isn't it?)

well, *technically* if we shouldn't have anything "magical" at all, then all the LOTR stuff would have to go, plus the Disney stuff, plus any other "magic" stuff I'm forgetting...

It's a question of where you draw the line, isn't it? Is a picture of a dress that was created by magical powers in a cartoon movie not ok? Then there goes two Disney dresses right off the bat.

This is a situation where it's impossible to please all members. We have to find the right middle ground. Thanks everyone for having discussed the issues surrounding this dress, pro and con. It will be helpful in evaluating the request.

I ask that you please not go so far as debate in this thread, though. Debate is not permitted in this forum.

Well, if you feel that way about magical girls and any other characters like Sailor Moon, then I suppose it's the end of the innocence. Kinda like the song by Don Henley and Bruce Hornsby :| There's nothing "Satanic" about Sailor Moon.
Case closed

By the way, Tariel, I think it's a nice outfit. Final Fantasy is nice animation.

Yes we are talking about a role playing (video) game, there is also two other movies with 'Final Fantasy' in the title, but this dress + character (to my knowledge) is specific to the game Final Fantasy 10.

To add, it is also a Squaresoft RPG, and they do tend to have a lot of religious icons in them, such as the hindu god 'Shiva', and the medievil roman catholic church.

For a more indepth (christian) review on FFX, see here: http://www.christiananswers.net/spotlight/games/2002/finalfantasy10.html

BTW if you have anymore questions reguarding Final Fantasy (movie or game), feel free to pm me. :)

Well, would it be ok if it was put in with a different description? I apologize; I didn't realize that people who do not have a clear and complete understanding of the game could consider it offensive.

Maybe something along the lines of; A dress for almost every occasion in Spira (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spira)?

BTW I like your 'Shinra' logo, you might be able to recognise where mine is from. ;)

Hehe, awesome! ^_^ (For the dress, and being the first non-family member to regonise your logo)

Don't feel bad, it took me a while to work it out too and I'm not even 100% sure, but I think it is the (can't remember word) thing that goes on the front of old ships. Moreover I believe it is the one in the opening of FF9 with the flying theartre ship.

Is there a reason for the last bullet point being in a different font style?

That's the way the editor handled bullets formatting. There's no particular reason. We'll try to force consistent formatting next go-round.

It's not a big difference. The text that is bulleted is a different font/size from the rest of the text.

Maybe it depends on what fonts someone's browser is set to, in displaying sans and sans-serif styles. Well that's the different styles mine displays, here (http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c219/Koplio/web-images/screen_dump.jpg) is a screen dump.

I didn't want to make a big deal out of it, I was just wondering if there was something significant about the difference, which by what you have said there isn't.

Veiled Viper

I bet it's a Firefox/IE issue.
I do see the difference in your screenshot.

Yeap, absolutely correct CaptianAmerica, I loaded the page in IE and the font of the bullet points is all sans-serif. :)
