People are often unreasonable, illogical, and self-centered;
Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies;
Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you;
Be honest and frank anyway.

What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight;
Build anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous;
Be happy anyway.

The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow;
Do good anyway.

Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough;
Give the world the best you've got anyway.

You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and God;
It was never between you and them anyway.

Mother Theresa

This is certainly a way of living that I think would be pleasing to Jesus. Thank you for sharing this. :)

Mother Theresa was an awesome person :) I always see this attributed to her, I wonder if she actually did write it though. Regardless she was an amazingly kind and loving woman.

Nope, I don't think she did it. I had the author, but forgot it.

Aww, she did not write it? I was going to be impressed because it spoke about God in the last verse. I read a book about her years ago and I was really disappointed because it talked all about doing good things, but nothing at all about God. Perhaps it was just that book and how it was written. Did Mother Theresa preach the gospel? Did she share the Lord with others? Or did she just do nice things? Is there a site or something that tells about her relationship with the Lord?
Thank you, Dana

This is my favorite quote attributed to Mother Theresa "The dying, the cripple, the mental,
the unwanted, the unloved
they are Jesus in disguise."
She has said and done some things that I personally do not agree with (obviously not this though) , but that doesn't mean that I don't respect her, and think that she showed God's love in some amazing ways. Not to mention that I have never experienced even close to what she did in her life.
