umbrella layer issue

Hey folks. I wanted to equip the bamboo umbrella (or whatever it's called) and not use it in the background slot of my special items. And the result looks like the attached image.

Could this be fixed somehow so that I don't have to have it in the background slot and it fits inside the character's hand and doesn't go in front of the hair layer, etc?

It's impossible to make the umbrellas fit every hairstyle when they are equipped in the foreground. I can modify this umbrella so that a little more hair shows, but it shouldn't be equipped in the foreground with most styles, especially the long ones.

As for the hand...there's no compromise that completely resolves the handle/hand issue. The way the hand is drawn, to hold a sword, doesn't work with an umbrella tilted in the opposite direction from the swords. We did our best, but it's not resolvable unless we entirely redesign the characters, and every item in the armory that is held in the hand.

i see. It's not about the hairstyle so much as the fact that i'd rather not have to place it in the background. but if it doesn't work that way, fine by me. i'll return it. too bad though.

Yeah...there's only one slot that equips behind the character -- the background. If Erwin ever looks at redesigning the characters a little, it would be nice to have a second slot behind the character. The thing most people want, though is 4 special item slots. That's the most popular enhancement request.

ah, thanks, no wonder I couldn't get the umbrella to work right. I either gave it away, or returned it. :)
