Sounds like you have quite the backlogged workload.

Does this help? :)

You are very talented!
Can you start making your armor designs on a transparent background?
That would help a lot.

Now there's a question.

Technically when I save the items the "white" area is a null space. So when I save it there really shouldn't be anything around the items but, now that you mention it, I don't recall ever seeing anything about setting a transparency layer in my imaging software. Not sure if that means the JPEG format doesn't support transparency or my software doesn't.

That said it would help to know how the program these images gets plugged into works. (Assuming there is one.) Back in the ancient of days when I worked with modding Wolfenstein 3D graphics there was a very specific color that you used to fill in the background that Wolfedit- or whatever if was called, it's been years- read as being "transparent".

Problem here is I've saved several different images to my HD but some seem to load with a "white" background others a, well, sort of tannish colored one.

What's worse while I read, even convert, GIFs to other formats none of my imaging software will let me save to GIF. Well none of the ones that will output a good quality image.

Any suggestions?

That's wierd. It has to be GIF to be used as armor.
I converted your sword to GIF and it's now transparent.
Don't know why your programs don't save as GIF.You could go to GIF works.com and transparentize there.

Unless it's changed GIF is proprietary.

IOW: Unless you pay them they don't let you use their format and, for a while, they were rather militant about going after software programmers. Which probably explains why I can save in everything from BMP to PCX and PNG to TIF, but not GIF with my imaging software.

What program(s) do you use?
PSP and Photoshop support transparent gifs.

Which PSP?

I have PSP 7, so I can't say what the gif export tool looks like for newer versions.
Here is a PSP transparent gif tutorial (http://www.absolutecross.com/tutorials/psp/trans-gif/).
With PSP 7 I only need to click the export tool and set the options.

I'll still see if I can't make it look better, though.:)
