A question for the Moderators.

I'm adapting to the new format of this board, and am finding I like most of the changes now that I'm getting used to it. The one thing I really miss about EZBoard, or perhaps I just don't comprehend how do to on this board yet, is the ability to imbed pictures into the text which display automatically. Is there any way to do that on this board, or will they always have to click the link to see the picture?

Several people raided this site one night with a lot p@rn (it was bad) and so Erwin thought it best, for the time being, to disable the feature. I believe it is his intention to reenable it at a later date.

Actually, I think the lost a few, but hey, I got a promotion out of the deal, I'm a "Senior Veteran" now. :)

Is there a way to allow increased posting size? ZC and I seem to be maxing out. :) Maybe it's best if we just learn to be more concise however. :)

1) We did allow [img] and HTML for a while, even file attachments, but P0RN spammers struck us BAD. So we have disabled this option indefinitely.

2) We imported all threads from KT, and linked KT members to their imported KT posts. So there you go!

If KT members want to be linked to their KT posts and have their post counts updated, PM your KT Admin, Josephus! :)

This is for the better, I think. The **** spammers were really very bad. I was so disgusted when it occured.

I emailed Ryan and asked that my post count be exported. Of the thousand some odd posts, only three-hundred exported.

Any idea why, Erwin?

Mmm... not all posts were imported? I don't know to be honest... were some of the KT posts deleted or archived at one stage? If so, they would not have been imported.

When I click on links, I'm not being taken to the link, instead I'm getting an error box "Cannot find file....." that begins with a ///c:/my%documents" path. Any idea why this is happening?

No, Erwin, I never had any posts archived or deleted, but I did have a post count of over a thousand, and it was curious that only three hundred exported. Could Ryan have done it incorrectly?

I just noticed that my post count is staying the same. The last three or four posts are at 398 (in the Round Table-The Flood)

What is up with that?

I think that some of the conversations were so old they rolled out of the old system. I noticed not all my post came over as well, nor did my number stay the same as it was at the tavern.

If what your talking about is what I think it was that way on MeetChristians.com also which is closed down right now.

Whenever you post you had the option of displaying your picture with your post.


The Webmaster at MeetChristians had to approve your photo first before it would even be posted so as not to have anything that was ****ographic. That is how that sort of stuff was controlled.


It would be a very time consuming thing here but if they could like approve photos uploaded before they were posted that would stop all ****ograhpic material real quick. Just a thought.
